We pause to remember those who gave their lives so we may live in peace.
Remembrance Day — also known as Poppy Day — is observed across Commonwealth nations to honour the brave men and women of our armed forces who have fallen in the line of duty since the end of the First World War. The red poppy stands as a powerful symbol of their sacrifice and our enduring gratitude.
We also pay tribute to the extraordinary loyalty and courage of the animals who have served alongside our military, both in war and peace — symbolised by the Purple Poppy.
Lest we forget. 🌺💜
