A great catch up!

Alex has been living in Supported Independent Living for over 15 months now and is doing really well.

Peta recently spent the day with him, checking in, chatting about how things are going and what the next steps might look like.

These moments are so important. Taking the time to reflect, plan ahead and celebrate progress along the way.

We love seeing Alex continue to grow and build his independence 👏

Creating a sensory-friendly environment doesn’t have to be complicated.

It’s often the small things like lowering noise, softening lighting or having a quiet space to take a break that can make the biggest difference.

For some people, the world can feel loud, bright and overwhelming. Having a space that feels calm and predictable can help them feel more comfortable, regulated and at ease.

Every person is different, so it’s about finding what works for them.

If you’re supporting someone and not sure where to start, even one small change is a step in the right direction.💜

We'd love for you to meet Montana!

Montana has been completing her work placement with us here at M&A Support Services, and we have absolutely loved having her as part of the team.

From day one she has shown up with enthusiasm, kindness and a genuine passion for making a difference in people's lives.

She's in the final few weeks of her placement and we have no doubt she is going to do incredible things in the future!

💪 Midweek gym sessions with Dion and Phil

Dion and his support worker Phil head to the gym to work out and spend some time out in the community.
They’ve discovered they share a few interests too that being fitness and a mutual love for Warhammer.

Finding the right support worker can sometimes take time, but when the right match comes along it makes all the difference.

Safe to say Phil ticks all the boxes 😊

Just over a week ago, Branka met with our participant David for lunch.

David had a stroke in March last year and it affected all down his left side.

After intense physiotherapy supports, David is now able to stand and walk very slowly which is amazing progress. He will continue with physio to that he can hopefully gain full strength and mobility in his arm and leg.

We’re also so pleased that NDIS have finally approved his wheelchair and power assist, with delivery expected in the coming weeks.

This will give David even more independence and freedom.

We’re so proud of your progress, David 💪
