The Kona Ironman Championship took place over the weekend and our wonderful client competed in Hawaii.

Coming in under 12 hours following ocean swimming, cycling and running is an amazing achievement.

We introduced you to Lyric earlier this week with a background of PCL, MCL and meniscus tear, and here we have her second Gym Program πŸ’ͺ

Program 1 and 2 were designed to run concurrently with a Total Body Focus. This way Rehabilitation is considered alongside Exercise, Performance and Prevention.

(2x per week)

Warm Up:
WU. Dead Hangs

BLOCK A:
A. Power Press + 10kg 2 second hold at the top
A. Half kneeling face pull with pink band

BLOCK B:
B. Alternating Floor Press with 8kg in tabletop position
B. Full tricep push ups (lower on toes and push up on knees)

BLOCK C:
C. Single leg pallof press + outside leg supported on a ball
C. Partial Turkish get up with 2-3 kg in tabletop with rolling over in top

BLOCK D:
D. Sled 70kg walking with straight limbs
D. OR rower (get heels down and stay compact)

BLOCK E:
E. Leg extension 13.5kg 3 sets x 20 seconds hold x 6 reps

REHABILITATION
Harvey is a year 12 student who underwent syndesmosis surgery 8 weeks before his final footy game with Xavier College.

He engaged in both Telehealth and Face to Face appointments at PREP Physio to support his post-op recovery.

And this is him now! Congratulations to Harvey who, after just 6 weeks of post surgery Physio, successfully played in 2 final senior footy games πŸ‘πŸ‘
