Wait... did the council just send you another bill? 💸

If you’re a pool owner in Mount Eliza or anywhere on the Mornington Peninsula, you know the drill.

I almost fell over seeing a $375 quote for a pool compliance certificate, until I remembered seeing a familiar face on my feed.

David from Rules For Pools saved the day ! Not only is he a local legend, but he makes the whole process simple (and much easier on the wallet). $225 all-inclusive, no matter how many visits it takes.

If you need to get your pool sorted without the headache, David is your man! 🏊‍♂️

Peninsula Pool Owners: Don’t get “fail and bailed.” ❌

We’ve seen too many Mt Martha and Mornington neighbours get stung by inspectors who charge a full fee, find one tiny latch issue, and leave, only to charge you again for the second visit.

At Rules for Pools, we do things differently. We’re your neighbours, not just inspectors. Our goal is to get you that Certificate of Compliance the first time, without the council headache or the unnecessary extra costs.
Check our “Quick 3” on Slide 5 to see if you’re ready! 🏊‍♂️✨

New here? Welcome 👋
I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.
I’m David, the owner of Rules for Pools. If you’ve got a pool or spa, I’m the one who handles your compliance inspections (yes… the ones your council wants every 4 years).

Over time, I’ve found many pool and spa owners aren’t just looking for an inspection, they’re looking for guidance. Whether it’s checking if something is compliant, understanding what needs to be adjusted, getting advice before booking or even coming out to help fix things like latches, gates or small barrier issues, I’m always happy to help.

I get a lot of messages and I genuinely enjoy helping people understand what’s needed (and what’s not). So if you’re ever unsure, just send me a message.
And if you’re already thinking “how could this guy get any better?”… well, I can. I offer a $225 flat rate, and I don’t charge anything for re-inspections, no matter how many it takes.

Outside of pools? Big fan of a gin & tonic 🍸

If you’re in Melbourne or the Mornington Peninsula and need help with your pool or spa, I’ve got you.
Here to help whenever you need, from questions to fixes to inspections.

Don’t let your landscaping compromise your compliance!

Here’s the breakdown:

The 900mm vs. 1200mm Rule: For pools built after 1 May 2010, the “no-climb zone” is 900mm from the fence. If your pool was built before that date, that zone extends to 1200mm.

The 15kg Test: Plants must be flexible. If a branch can support 15kg, it’s a climbing hazard. Stick to soft, leafy species.

Maintenance = Safety: A compliant hedge today can become a “ladder” in six months. Regular pruning is a must to stay certified.

I’m local, I’m here to help, and I’ve simplified the process:

✅ Capped at $225

We hear this quite often... and we see where you’re coming from!

But here is the reality.
Pool fences aren’t just for the people living in the house. They are a universal safety barrier for the entire community.

Whether it’s a visiting family member, a neighbour’s child, or even a future homeowner, a compliant pool fence is a permanent shield against the unthinkable. In Australia, the law doesn’t distinguish between households with or without children because safety is a collective responsibility. 🤝

At Rules for Pools, we believe a compliant barrier is the best way to ensure your backyard remains a place of relaxation and joy for everyone who enters it, today and in the future. 💙
