What a fantastic initiative
We are proud to share the launch of Toys Without Barriers, a new six-month pilot program in Melbourne’s south east that helps make play more accessible for children of all abilities.
Families can now borrow switch adapted toys, sensory resources and inclusive play equipment from three Melbourne toy libraries:
📍 Stonnington Toy Library (Malvern branch)
📍 Kingston Toy Library (Mordialloc branch)
📍 Springvale Toy Library (Springvale Service for Children)
The program also offers a home delivery service for families who cannot visit in person, and there is no volunteer requirement. This makes it easier for families of children with disability or developmental delay to try adaptive toys at home and support their child’s play, learning and confidence.
We believe every child deserves to play, learn and belong. If you know a family who might benefit, or if you want to help raise awareness about inclusive play, please share this post.
