This is why we do what we do!! Our support workers get a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment out of helping people work towards their goals. Great job!!
Boy do we love working with this guy.... but today was extra special.
Pictured is our main man Mike with Josh. This is the first time Mike's been in this walking frame for a while which gets him out of his chair and up walking VERY tall!
The cool thing is that we wanted a smooth and long run way. The idea of an indoor basketball soon came to mind. It was so nice how accommodating Latrobe Leisure and the Latrobe City Council were with having us at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium in Tgon! With the idea of the basketball court and a quick phone call.... hey presto. Session achieved quickly! Thanks for having us guys.
Most of all and the best thing was how much Mike loved the session. Being upright and walking builds strength, endurance and capacity in positions that the chair just doesn't offer.
I wish there were words to explain how fulfilling it is to work with Mike. How proud he was of himself and how grateful he was after the session said it all!
Great stuff my guy! Keep up the fantastic work, let's keep pushing the boundaries and know that we love working with you!
