💅🏻 Perimenopause is having her hot-girl spotlight moment… and honestly, I love that for her.

She’s real, she’s common, and she deserves the hype.
But, and hear me out, before we throw our hands up and yell “peri has entered the chat,” it’s worth making sure the rest of your body isn’t quietly waving its arms in the background.

✅ No shade on HRT at all. It’s a total game-changer for so many women.

But if you’re dealing with low energy, stress that never turns off, brain fog, weight changes, dry skin, missing periods, constipation, or anxiety that suddenly has main character energy…
…it might not just be perimenopause.

☯️Chinese Medicine sees hormones as the downstream effect of what’s happening everywhere else inside you.

If your Blood, Liver, Spleen, digestion, stress response, or energy reserves are out of whack, your hormones will absolutely let you know.

And when we work on the whole system, not just the hormonal bit, things start to feel like “you” again.

✨Clearer, calmer, more balanced, more grounded.

If you’re unsure what’s peri and what’s “my body is tired, babe,” book in and let’s figure it out together.

Your future self will thank you for not jumping to conclusions.

💛Endometriosis needs more than just a month of awareness.
It deserves year-round attention, proper funding, and a whole lot more understanding.

Around 1 in 7 Australian women will experience endo, which is honestly a wild number when you think about how little we actually know about it.

And just to clear this one up (because it still gets mixed up constantly):
Endometriosis isn’t made of the same cells as the endometrium (your uterine lining). It behaves differently, has a mind of its own, and yes… it can create its own supply of oestrogen.

And another big myth-buster:
A hysterectomy doesn’t “fix” endo. It can help with adenomyosis or period pain, absolutely, but endometriosis can exist on other organs, so removing the uterus won’t magically stop lesions elsewhere in the body.

This is why we need more research and a broader way of looking at the condition because it’s not just a “pelvis problem”.

It’s a whole-body inflammatory disease, affecting pain pathways, immune function, digestion, hormones, and emotional wellbeing.

From a Chinese Medicine lens, we work to settle inflammation, regulate the cycle, and reduce pain by supporting the body as a whole. And honestly? Less stress = less inflammation = a calmer nervous system… which is where so much relief begins.

If you’re navigating endo and want support that looks at the whole you = body, cycle, lifestyle, stress, book in for an acupuncture session.
Your future self will thank you, chick. 💛

🩸Feeling the period pain? Let’s talk care, not just cramps.

In Chinese Medicine, your bleed is the time to slow down, warm up, and let go, both literally and energetically.

That means:
🍲 Warm, nourishing food (no icy smoothies, sorry chick)
🧦 Socks on, belly covered
🫖 Warm water + herbal teas
🩸 Let it flow freely (tampons can block Qi + Blood energy)
🧘🏻‍♀️ Gentle movement only, think walks, stretches, instead of HIIT.
💤 And yes, REST. You’re allowed to.
You’re not being lazy, you’re being in tune.

Listen to your body, she’s wise.

✨ Book in if your periods are painful, heavy, or just not feeling right, you deserve pain free periods!

Feeling amazing one week and blurgh the next?
You might be fighting against your Yin and Yang cycle, chick!

Everything in nature flows, tides, moons, seasons, and your menstrual cycle is no different. 🌙

While modern medicine is only just beginning to explore how hormones ebb and flow through the month, Chinese Medicine has sat with this wisdom for thousands of years.

What we call hormones is really the deep and sacred dance between Yin and Yang — your body’s own rhythm of rest, growth, release, and renewal. ✨

🪷 Learn to work with your cycle, not against it — your body will thank you for it.
💛 Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can help support each phase of your cycle and bring things back into balance.

❗️Sha may look painful, but it isn’t.

We all know about Gua Sha for the face, but did you know it originated as a treatment for the body?

Gua = to scrap
Sha = the reddish mark (petechiae) that comes from the treatment

Used for respiratory symptoms, Gua Sha can ‘release the exterior’ which helps move the Chinese Medicine pathogen up and out of the body.

It’s also fantastic to help with tight muscles.

I love it so much, I’ve trained my partner on how to do it, so he can Gua Sha me when I start to feel a cold or flu coming on.

🩸Period health comes full circle: warmth, nourishment, movement, and Chinese Medicine support.

If your cycle has been a bit chaotic causing pain, PMS, irregular, or low energy, there are some simple things that can help.

🔥 Stay warm - socks on, cover that belly, use heat packs, eat and drink warm
🍲 Eat enough - nourish that body of yours, protein, lightly streamed veggies, regular meals and regular times
🏋🏻‍♀️ Move with your cycle - weight lifting during ovulation, gentle exercise when bleeding and leading up to your bleed
📍Chinese Medicine support - acupuncture and Chinese herbs to support signs and symptoms that aren’t working for you any longer.

Want a plan that fits with YOUR cycle and makes YOU feel better? Book an appointment today 🔗 link in bio or DM me ‘CIRCLE’ and I’ll send you the booking link.
