The PILLARS of Gingko are the foundation of each offering we provide
They are
EMBODIMENT, Accessible embodiment practices
Trauma sensitive and inclusive of everybody exactly as you are, nothing to change, nothing to fix.
We include a wide range of embodiment from breathwork, somatics, dance, mediation, asana, journaling, ritual, ceremony, Mantra and Mudra.
Embodiment asks us to be present within our body, mind and spirit. Engaging in experience, feeling and action. With a trauma sensitive approach we understand this isn’t available or safe to everyone in every moment and this is perfectly ok. All our offerings are scaffolded and invitational. We support you to practice in a way what feels best for you.
YOGIC BREATHWORK, known as PRANAYAMA.
Breathing is the only autonomic process our body does which was can consciously control. Majority of us are not breathing the way our bodies are deigned to.
Pranayama is where we consciously adjust the breath to improve physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing
NATURAL CYCLES, returning to the wisdom of nature and the natural cycles of the earth.
The Day, The seasons, The moon/ or menstrual cycle, and the shortest of them all, our breath. While these may not be an obvious parts of a session, they have been deeply considered in the design of the session
EMBODIED SOCIAL CHANGE- EQUITY
We strongly believe our offerings should be accessible to everybody. As equity is integral to embodied social change we offer tiered pricing for many of our offerings. You will often find 3 different price options. Previously these tiers were called Full Waged, Part waged, Unwaged. I now come to realise that peoples form of employment only takes into account one part of how resourced they may be.
The tiers are now called Sustainer, Supported and Community. We encourage you to select the option which best suits your situation.
For now, these are the pillars of Gingko
In the future these may change. Nothing is stagnant, the cycles are always at play. I am forever learning, and unlearning from the oppressive systems which don’t serve us.
