As temperatures rise and fires continue to burn in our region, it’s more important than ever to be prepared. Your plan shouldn’t just cover your home and pets… It should also include the people who may need extra support. 🏡☀️

Please remember to:
• Check in on elderly or disabled family members, neighbours, and friends
• Make sure they have a cool, safe place to be
• Ensure they have water, medication, and a way to get help if needed
• Do regular daytime check-ins - a quick call or visit can make a big difference

Looking out for one another keeps our community safe 💛

Hot weather can sneak up on anyone, but it can be especially tough for seniors - staying cool, hydrated and comfortable isn’t always as simple as it sounds. A quick call, a visit, or even dropping off some cold drinks can make their day (and help keep them safe).
