We are incredibly proud to share that Heather Black, our Director of Clinical Services, has been named the winner of the People Caring for People Award as part of the 2025 National Ramsay Way Awards.

Heather is a deeply valued leader at Linacre. She brings compassion, clarity and a steady hand to every situation, and she has shaped a culture where people feel supported, heard and genuinely cared for. Her commitment to improving patient and staff experience is evident in the way she leads her teams, solves problems and shows up for others. This award reflects the impact she makes here every day.

We also congratulate Jessica Southwell from Port Macquarie Private Hospital and Jack Reid from Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital this year’s runners up in the same category.

On 25 April, we pause to honour ANZAC Day—a national day of remembrance that marks the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915 and pays tribute to all Australians and New Zealanders who have served—and continue to serve—in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.

ANZAC Day is a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of those who came before us. It’s also a time to reflect on the values they upheld—mateship, endurance, and compassion—which continue to shape our communities today.
