Thoracic rotation screening helps us understand how the mid-back is moving and whether there are any restrictions that may be contributing to shoulder, neck, or lower back issues. The thoracic spine is designed to rotate and move freely, but factors like prolonged sitting, posture, training loads, or previous injuries can often lead to reduced mobility.
During this assessment we’re looking at the quality and symmetry of rotation through the thoracic spine, identifying any limitations or compensations that may affect overall movement patterns. Restrictions here can place extra stress on surrounding areas like the shoulders and lumbar spine, increasing the risk of pain or injury.
By identifying these limitations early, we can build targeted treatment and exercise programs aimed at restoring mobility, improving movement efficiency, and helping people move better both in daily life and during sport. 🔍
