It is with a very heavy heart that I shared that we said farewell to Kathy recently. Many of you will remember Kathy well, she welcomed everyone into clinic with a warm smile and friendly chat. To our team Kathy was the mother hen of the office, she brought laughter and care to us all, she was a treasured colleague and dear friend and we will miss her deeply.

Our hearts are with Kathy's beautiful family at this time. In Kathy's honour the family have set up a fundraising page with Cure Brain Cancer Foundation to support vital research into brain cancer. Kathy fought so bravely, and her family's hope is to help bring hope to future families impacted through better treatments.

SEAbridge is a wonderful resource that we love using here at Hopscotch. SEAbridges is a neurodiversity affirming program that teaches children a range of social and emotional skills. Some of our favourite modules include:

🚎🚐Confident Commuters 🚉🚋

In January, one of our Hopscotch Superstars did some public transport training to get ready for the transition to high school! This student learned how to research and plan a public transport journey and then got to actually carry it out which provided an incredible opportunity to learn and develop new skills in a safe and supportive way!

Throughout October, Nicola completed a professional development course all about puberty. Here’s what she had to say about it:
