Meet Tom
We’re excited to introduce Tom, Provisional Psychologist at GROW Clinical Psychology.
Tom is currently in the final year of his Master of Clinical Psychology degree. Before training in psychology, he completed an Honours degree in Philosophy and Classical Languages at University of Melbourne — a background that deeply informs his thoughtful and reflective approach to therapy.
Tom understands that people often come to therapy because something doesn’t feel quite right — a sense of dissatisfaction, distress, or feeling stuck. While some challenges are outside our control, others are shaped by the ways we think, act, and relate to ourselves. Tom’s work focuses on helping clients gently explore these patterns and discover new ways of relating to themselves, others, and the world — in ways that foster genuine wellbeing.
He brings warmth, humility, kindness, and deep listening to every session, and holds great respect for the courage it takes to engage in therapy.
Tom draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and his background in philosophy to support clients in meaningful and practical ways.
We’re so pleased to have Tom as part of the GROW team 🌿
