Helping women by women 🤍
Happy International Women’s Day!
On Friday, the Ashburton team ran through a bone density education session, not only for women but targeting an issue that is so heavily associated with women.
Menopause, osteopenia, pelvic floor weakness, incontinence, and so many others are health conditions that impact almost all women.
We recognise you, we see you, and we can help you.
Exercise and movement therapy can benefit so many women and enable them to feel empowered and strong, despite the changes their body goes through.

Guys making these are the highlight of my week ✨✨🤗🤗
Our Reservoir Pace Partner Bec had the chance to co-host the View Club monthly dinner at Heidelberg Golf Club with Daniel Lawley from Nurse Next Door.
Together, they chatted all things staying strong, happy, and safe at home as we age — and loved seeing everyone get involved in the balance exercises and share their own experiences.
It is always so nice connecting with local community groups who bring great energy and even better conversations 💬
Thanks Daniel for the invite and View Club for having us!next.door.australia

Red Feb ♥️
The Pace Ashy and Rezza (formerly Ashburton and Reservoir) team and clients are getting into the spirit and wearing red to spread awareness.
Red Feb is about wearing red to spread awareness of heart disease and donating to help towards heart disease research.
We see so many clients who suffer from some form of heart disease, those of which are making positive changes to improve their heart health.
Heart disease can claim the lives of up to 45 Australians per DAY (that is one every 30 minutes 🤯).
Get your heart checked, get your body moving and keep your heart healthy ♥️
Our dietitian Jacqui ran an education session for our bone density and ONERO clients on Tuesday.
The session went through the fundamentals of nutrition for bone health and healthy ageing.
The session was invaluable in giving nutrition tips to best support your bones 🦴
A few clinics have lined up some education sessions for bone health and how lifestyle behaviour change can positively impact your bone density ✨

Everyday physical activity, like going for a short walk or playing with the kids, may provide short-term benefits for cognitive health, equivalent to reversing four years of cognitive aging. That was a key finding for my colleagues and me in our new study, which was published in the journal Annals of Behavioral Medicine.
Prior to enrollment into a study of diet and dementia risk, we asked a diverse sample of 204 middle-aged adults to check in five times per day for a period of nine days, via a smartphone application.
The study shows cognitive processing speed increased even when participants were moderately active.
