October Highlights at Social Star HQ!

October was filled with celebrations, creativity, and connection, both in and out of the office.

We kicked off the month with a heartfelt wedding send-off for Adam and Sabari, celebrating the soon-to-be newlyweds with a team lunch full of laughter, games, and good energy.

Our team supported multiple client events, including Michael Kenihan with his presentation and the always incredible Alexander Spencer at their AI event, helping behind the scenes to make each one a success.

We also celebrated Julia’s birthday, our resident gluten-free birthday queen, complete with a tiramisu that was every bit as sweet as her.

On the creative front, we onboarded a new client - Evans Curtains and Blinds, and began working on a client's brand new logo design project.

We were lucky to join an insightful Pinterest workshop, diving into how the platform is shaping B2B marketing in fresh and exciting ways.

To wrap up the month, our BYOB community came together for a celebration dinner with the June’24 and February’25 cohorts - a perfect way to reflect on wins, growth, and connection.

And of course, we ended October with Tish’s birthday, celebrated in full Halloween spirit - witch hat and all.

Here’s to another month of collaboration, milestones, and moments that make Social Star what it is.

September was all about growth, creativity, and collaboration. Both within the team and with our amazing clients and partners.

We saw strong results from our CampusLife partnerships, where interns paired with clients have been doing exceptional work and receiving fantastic feedback.

Our BYOB Community Showcases in Brisbane and Melbourne brought together passionate founders and entrepreneurs to share their stories, connect, and grow together.

We also supported Alexander Spencer’s Bitcoin Basics with Bitcoin Treasury Solutions' Event, an exciting evening exploring the future of finance and innovation.

Back at HQ, the team sharpened their skills through three learning sessions, including
> a deep dive into The Art of Reporting done by Tiana, which helped the team learning how to glue together different aspects of effective reporting for our clients
> a PR 101 Workshop with Seamus Bradley, where we explored how to add value to clients through media opportunities and crisis communications
> and a Creative Writing Workshop by Angus Clark for CampusLife Interns, where he taught everyone the art of creative writing and how to cut through with content.

We wrapped up the month with a successful client shoot for Evans Curtains and Blinds, capturing creative content that brought their story to life.

We’re excited to welcome Tiarna (aka Pebz) to the Social Star team as our Marketing Coordinator!

Tiarna isn’t technically new to Social Star. She’s been part of our story for years as our trusted Podcast Engineer, helping shape the sound behind many of our shows. Now, she’s officially joined the agency side, bringing her creativity, experience, and fresh energy into the mix.

After years in in-house marketing, Tiarna was ready for a new challenge. One that meant collaborating with multiple clients, managing diverse projects, and blending strategy with storytelling. Her transition into agency life has been seamless, driven by her enthusiasm and love for meaningful content.

And yes, podcasts are still part of her world!
Tiarna continues to lead our podcast production, refining it into a core Social Star offering to help founders build thought-leadership through regular, engaging conversations.

We’re thrilled to have her on board officially this time. Her creativity, technical expertise, and energy make her an incredible addition to the team.

August Highlights at Social Star HQ!

We kicked off the month with an Off-site Day, where the team came together to reflect on the milestones we’ve already hit and set our sights on where growth is taking us in 2025.

We also welcomed new staff and interns into the Social Star family, bringing fresh perspectives and energy into the mix.

In Sydney, we teamed up with our client BRi for a shoot in Sydney and caught up with their team for some much-needed in-person connection.

Our Social Video team had multiple shoot days with clients, capturing standout content to power their marketing.

Back at HQ, there were AI Workshops with the team, exploring how AI can boost creativity, strategy, and delivery. One was in-house by Tish and one was with Mark Byrne, Founder of Headspring.

We also officially launched the BYOB Grow Club — a new space for entrepreneurs to share wins, tackle challenges, and grow side by side under the mentorship of Andrew Ford.

Here’s to an August full of momentum, collaboration, and growth. On to September!
