Freddy from Norway sent us this fantastic video of him taking his Extreme X8 through the snow in a local shopping area, and the joy on his face says everything. “Just so fun,” he told us.

After a stroke, staying active became harder for Freddy, especially outdoors. But the X8 changed what was possible and Freddy tells us it keeps him moving all year round: “My X8 brings me out in nature. With the X8 I can be active summer and winter, even snow is no obstacle.”

What he loves most is being able to share what real off‑road freedom looks like: “This is why I love my X8 here in Norway… I just love to share the possibilities a great chair can give to a disabled person.”

Watch him carve through the snow with ease. ❄️💙
Where would you like to go, if you could?

✨ “This wheelchair will change my daily life… I was able to travel in conditions where it would normally be impossible.”

🗣️💬 Jean‑Luc from France recently put the XT4 through harsh winter conditions in his local mountainous area and says it has transformed how he gets around. Even in deep snow and on steep, uneven terrain, the XT4 kept him moving thanks to its powerful motors, stable suspension and precise steering.

He shared how the chair’s LED lighting, horn, intuitive left‑hand drive and highly-adjustable seating made everyday tasks easier, from navigating forest paths to sitting comfortably at a table. With enough range to reach town and join long family walks, it’s become a reliable part of his routine.

Michael Lord named an 'invaluable' surf lifesaver at Flynn's Beach Port Macquarie thanks to Magic Mobility!

As featured on ABC, at 70 years old, Michael is redefining what beach patrol looks like. As a surf lifesaver at Flynn's Beach in Port Macquarie NSW, he uses his all‑terrain XT4 to complete his lifesaving duties, and all whilst bringing his trademark positivity and purple‑and‑green hair to the shoreline.

“I help identify rips and things on the beach … set the flags where they need to go, keep an eye on those danger areas … all the volunteers I serve with are just fantastic.”

Diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia in 2016, Michael says some days were tough, but volunteering changed everything:
“There were some days where I woke up and … I just wanted to give up. Surf lifesaving gives me purpose and connection.”

With the XT4, Michael can confidently drive across sand and stay involved in the community he loves:
"It's unusual to see a lifesaver in a wheelchair and it's unusual to see a lifesaver with purple and green hair — both are good conversation starters."

We’re proud to see our XT4 is empowering Michael to keep doing what he loves - helping people, staying active, and proving there’s a role for everyone on the beach.

As an organisation we strive to not only listen to the voices of those who use wheelchairs, but also to hear their dreams and intentions for the future. We use this feedback to engineer the best solutions for tackling the widest possible challenges, to give everyone the right to independence.

We worked closely with an Australian rubber manufacturer to develop an Aramid fibre-reinforced rubber compound. Testing showed that this compound improved puncture resistance against a range of potential hazards. However, our main challenge was to ensure our Off-road knobby tyres, in particular, could run at a low PSI (required for softer terrains) whilst still avoiding punctures.

Our puncture resistant tyre liners are available on all three of our wheel types; Off-road, Crossover* and Urban, providing peace of mind for those concerned about leaks or punctures when going off-road or across challenging terrains. They serve to prevent punctures from everyday hazards such as sharp rocks, prickles or thorns, as well as less common risks like broken glass, screws or nails.

Have you ever experienced a puncture at the worst possible time? Let us know in the comments👇

*Please note: Crossover tyres not currently available in North America.

‘Since having the extreme X8, I have spent more time outside in the last 6-months than I have in the 4 and a half years since my injury.

I am honestly so grateful for the freedom and independence I have regained since having the Extreme X8.’

Thank you Accessibility with Aspen Sage for sharing your story with us ❤️

When Jade speaks, she would like to be responded to normally, not spoken 'around'.
“Refer to me, not my carer. Look at me and talk to me.”
It might happen in an everyday moment, like ordering a coffee, where people instinctively look past Jade to instead communicate with the person beside her. Sometimes her carers gently redirect the conversation back, reminding them who the question is really for.

“I’m a big advocate for talking to me normally.”
Here, Jade tells us how inclusion isn’t about special treatment. It’s about respect, recognition, and remembering that the person in front of you is just that - a person.

It’s been a highly productive week in Melbourne as we wrap up two days of dealer technical training. These sessions give our dealer network valuable, hands‑on experience with our latest products, and provide both a helpful refresher for existing staff and a practical introduction for new team members learning to sell or service our products.

This round of training featured the launch of our new UX Seating System, engineered to make underseat adjustments faster, easier and more precise. The system is designed to streamline setup for our dealers and technicians, with a more practical and intuitive seat width and depth adjustment process.

Featuring details such as laser‑etched sizing markers and fully adjustable accessory positioning along the new side rail, the UX underseat is a sleek, user-centric and modern design innovation that our team of engineers are proud to introduce as standard on all Magic Mobility powerchairs.

A sincere thank‑you to all the dealers who joined us this week. Your engagement, questions and insights play a key role in helping us continue our mission to advance mobility technology - Because the world's not flat!

Freedom, no matter the season ❄️✨
“My Magic Mobility X8 has given me freedom all year round.
This winter, my wife and I drove 1,900 km across Sápmi — Norway, Sweden, and Finland — in temperatures from -3°C to -30°C, with zero battery issues.
Snowy streets, frozen harbours, culture, art and nature… the Extreme X8 handled it all. Grateful for the freedom to explore, create, and just be me.”
Thank you, Hans, for sharing your adventures with us!
