From our gorgeous Grace:

This is a very vulnerable post, much out of my comfort zone but i’d like to share my story in hopes to relate to others with dealing with similar situations.

Living with eczema hasn’t been an easy path. It’s been a constant balance between managing flare-ups, protecting my skin barrier, and trying to feel confident in my own skin.
For years, I relied heavily on steroid creams to keep the inflammation at bay. They worked, but it always came with that quiet fear of what would happen when I stopped; the rebound flares, the thinning skin, the cycle that felt impossible to break. And not only that, but the strength of the steroid creams increased over time as they weren’t as effective anymore after prolonged use.

I’ve always tried to be quite transparent about my journey with others, because eczema can feel isolating and unpredictable. There have been ups and downs, good skin days and not-so-good ones, but slowly I have found balance.

Through stress management, gentle skincare and regular in-salon treatments like LED therapy (which | am so incredibly lucky to have regular access to), l’ve been able to support my skin’s natural healing process and strengthen my barrier again. I hese steps have helpea me wean off daily steroid use; something I once thought I’d never be able to do. I now only reach for them occasionally, when a flare-up really needs it, sometimes Just once every couple of weeks.

Recently, I’ve also started working with to explore my skin health from the inside out; looking at gut health, hormones, and inflammation triggers. I’m so excited to see how this next step supports my journey and brings me even closer to long-term balance and healthier skin from within.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’m so proud of how far my skin has come. Healing isn’t linear, and eczema may be something I’ll always need to manage, but l’ve learned that healthy skin isn’t just about being “perfect,” it’s about balance, care, and compassion for yourself through every stage.
