Feeling a little out of balance today after the lead up to Christmas, a busy work schedule the socialising, and hosting on the day itself. Enjoying foods outside my usual routine has certainly taken its toll, so I’m slowing right down and giving my body what it’s asking for rest and simplicity.
This morning I packed away the Christmas tree and decorations, creating space and calm as we move toward a brand-new year 2026. Some people see this as unlucky, but I’ve never felt that way. For me, it brings a sense of clarity and order, a quiet reset that feels comforting and grounding. I love having my home back to itself again.
Today is intentionally gentle. With my birthday coming up this Tuesday, the 30th of December, I’m choosing to conserve my energy and look forward to celebrating with a lovely dinner at Crown with my husband. Simple, meaningful moments are exactly what I’m craving.
I hope everyone is slowly recovering from Christmas Day and Boxing Day, allowing themselves time to pause and breathe. These in between days are precious, a chance to reflect, to rest, and to truly appreciate the people we hold close. Cherish the time with family and friends, create beautiful memories, and carry them with you into the new year.
I’m staying close to home today, embracing the quiet, and letting myself reset.
