The Red Door Studio Welcome to the Red Door Studio! The Red Door Studio is a small and welcoming space for nurturing health, creativity and community.

This is a place to gather, to share stories, music, dance and have fun 😊 Yoga, creative dance classes and a Steiner playgroup are up and running, with more activities and classes from time to time. Set in a quiet neighbourhood, amongst a thriving garden and in a family home setting, the space hosts a range of classes and activities including yoga, creative dance, and Steiner playgroup.

Summer plans sorted! ☀️✨ We are thrilled to announce our January 2026 holiday program at the Red Door Studio in Heidelberg West.

Join us for a nurturing blend of creativity, movement, and fun designed to inspire and engage young bodies and minds. We have two tailored programs running this summer:

🎨 For 6-12 Year Olds: Full or half-day workshops featuring traditional Inkbrush Painting, Creative Dance, Yoga & Craft. 🗓 Tue 13th & Mon 19th Jan | 9am - 4pm

🧘 For 3-5 Year Olds: A playful morning of Creative Dance, Yoga & Craft to connect with imagination and movement. 🗓 Thu 15th & Wed 21st Jan | 10am - 12pm

Last night at the Red Door Studio! Another fully booked Adults Creative Dance session, beautifully run by Mien (meanderfulmovement). Such a touching exploration into life’s 🛤️ tracks, 🌀 journeys and 👣 footsteps, through the magical encounters with other human beings that occur within the safe space of a masterfully guided creative dance class. Thank you Mien, and to all those who participated with us!

We are still basking in the glow of Sunday's brush and ink painting workshop (https://fb.me/e/9MyRrsn6m), hosted by the wonderful Meah (Travel Art Dance Company) at our Red Door Studio. It was so moving to participate in, to experience the care and passion behind Meah’s guidance. Entering a space with such beautiful tables, tools and art materials immediately transforms one’s mood. The meditative process of preparing ink—grinding an ink stick slowly in a drop or two of water—together with the playful and freeing experience of brushwork on rice paper, combined with the subject matter (this time it was oriental dragons!) leaves one feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and eager for more! Keep your eye out for future ink and brush workshops. They’re an activity worth experiencing 🥰
