Check out these amazing underwater scenes from Siblings Camp! 🌊🐬

IOE’s Sibling Program is a core program aligned with the Family Focus priority in our Strategic Plan. Children who have a sibling with a disability often take on additional responsibility and caring roles at a young age. Our camp gives siblings the chance to take a break, have fun, and connect with other sibs who share similar experiences.

This peer connection is invaluable, and we are proud to partner with the Freemasons to deliver this camp every year.

This year, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous Sibling Program alumni, we were also able to give our sibs a very special bonus experience—heading out on the bay to spot dolphins and snorkel with the incredible weedy sea dragons. 💙🤿

With great sadness we share with our community the passing of Ann Weston.

Ann and her family have been part of the IOE community for more than 30 years, involved across family support programs, recreation, day services, holidays, volunteering and support work. Ann’s connection to IOE leaves a lasting legacy of care, generosity and community.

Our deepest condolences are extended to Stuart, Keeley, Ellery, Clytie, Morrin and Ethan during this difficult time. 💙🌹

🌊Last week, our Siblings Campers were treated to a new experience as they gathered onboard the Polperro in Sorrento and set off in search of dolphins. The adventure continued with a jump into the ocean for snorkelling, where they were lucky enough to spot weedy sea dragons and a stingray. An unforgettable day of discovery and fun on the water.💦

IOE's House Intensive Program has proven to provide outcomes such as:

Transition support (school → adulthood, home → community)

💦 For children in 4-year-old kinder to 16 years old
💦 Sessions held at Knox Leisureworks
💦 Sessions are 30 minutes face to face and 15 minutes non face to face
💦 Families will need to pay their own entry to the pool, as this cannot be claimed through NDIS.
💦 Participants who have never accessed aquatic occupational therapy will need to have an initial assessment over the phone to discuss goals, support needs, prior to the session etc. typically takes 15 – 20 minutes.
