July marks Disability Pride Month! We’re sharing some amazing artwork, stories and resources from young people created for the YDAS Disability Pride project ❤️

Disability pride can mean being proud of who you are and embracing your disability. It can also mean feeling confident and not hiding your disability. Either way, we hope you take the time to celebrate in whatever way feels right to you 🥰🥰

We want to celebrate by sharing the following resources:

👉 Disability Pride Gallery, which contains creative works from 30 disabled young people: https://www.yacvic.org.au/ydas/resources-and-training/gallery/

👉 How to talk with disabled young people, disability terminology and accessibility in the workplace: https://www.yacvic.org.au/ydas/resources-and-training/disability-pride-resources/

🗣️ New Opportunity for Disabled Young People: We want to hear from you!
Are you a disabled young person aged 12–25 living in Australia? We want to hear what you think of the new Right to be Heard hub!

Your feedback will help us improve the site and make sure it really works for young people like you. The survey takes 5–10 minutes and is anonymous.

🎁 At the end, you can choose to enter a prize draw for a gift card!

💻 Before you do the survey you’ll have to check out the disabled young people section of the hub - you can find it here: righttobeheard.org.au/disabled-young-people/

👉 Once you’ve had a look around the hub, you can fill in the survey, which you can find here: youthdisabilityadvocacyservice.snapforms.com.au/form/right-to-be-heard-feedback-survey

To be able to do this survey, you will  need to  have used  the Right to be Heard hub. This means that you must go through the 'disabled young people' section and looked at the different pages. Here is the link:

Did you make it to our Right to Be Heard launch yesterday? It was big—just like the impact our Right to be Heard hub is set to make!

Created by and for disabled young people, this hub is full of resources and young people’s stories about speaking up and making complaints.

It has been YDAS's first national project and has been led by disabled young people across Australia.

We’re so excited to share Right to be Heard with the world! Check out our promo video below, and then head over to the hub to see what it’s all about! Share the hub with disabled young people, so they know they have the 'Right to be Heard'!
