Today the children had a wonderful time getting hands-on in the kitchen making their very own hot cross buns!

From mixing and kneading to watching them bake, it was a great opportunity to explore cooking, follow instructions and enjoy some Easter traditions together 🐣

Of course, the best part was tasting them at the end… delicious! 😋

🚐🌱 A fun community outing today! 🌱🚐

We took the children on our centre bus to our local Mitre 10 to drop off their colouring-in sheets for the competition they are running 🎨

While we were there, the wonderful team had set up a special table where the children got to decorate their own pots and plant something to take home 🌼🪴

It was such a lovely hands-on experience, and the children absolutely loved getting creative and a little bit messy!

Thank you to Mitre 10 for having us – we love being part of our local community 💚

Children can find their colouring sheet in the centre entrance—ready to take home and get creative! 💛

Hatching Chick Project 🐣

What an exciting couple of weeks we have had at Hippity Hop! 🐣

The children were lucky enough to take part in our Hatching Chickens Project, where they watched eggs slowly hatch into fluffy little chicks. The children were full of excitement, curiosity and lots of questions as they observed the chicks each day.

A beautiful hands-on learning experience about life cycles and caring for living things.

🍎🥧 From Orchard to Oven! 🥧🍎

After our wonderful excursion to the Apteds orchard on Tuesday, the children had the chance to turn their freshly picked apples into delicious homemade apple pies on Wednesday afternoon!

The children helped wash, peel and prepare the apples before adding them to the pies. It was a fantastic hands-on experience where they explored cooking, teamwork and where our food comes from.

The smell was amazing while the pies were baking, and of course the best part was tasting the finished pies together!

🍎 Kinder Excursion to the Apted Orchard 🍐

Today our 4-year-old Kinder children enjoyed a wonderful excursion to our local apple\ pear orchard! The children had the opportunity to explore the orchard, learn about how fruit grows, and pick their own apples and pears straight from the trees.

There was lots of excitement as the children carefully selected their fruit and placed it into their bags to take home and share with their families. Experiences like this help children connect with nature, learn where food comes from, and create special memories with their friends.

A big thank you to Apted's Orchards for welcoming us and providing such a lovely experience for our Kinder group! 🌳🍏
