Introducing Sunrise Tea Ceremony Meditations

Saturdays 7:00am – 8:15am

An invitation to begin your day in stillness…
to sit in the quiet moments as darkness gently gives way to light.

As the world slowly awakens around us, we gather in silence — guided by tea, breath, and presence. A space to soften, to listen, and to arrive fully before the day begins.

A gentle, blissful journey with this subtle plant medicine, supporting calm, clarity, and connection.

A way to begin your weekend not in rush… but in quietude, intention, and ease.

If you feel called to greet the morning in this way, I would love to share this space with you.

Note: Bookings for these sessions close 8pm the night prior.

Today I honour the seasons and cycles of nature, and those within my own life.
The ebb and flow.
The endings and beginnings.
The light and the shadow.

Last night, I had the honour of sharing Cha Dao — a Tea Ceremony with two beautiful women, marking a deeply meaningful moment in their lives.
Together, they have completed their breastfeeding journeys — years devoted to pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and the quiet, continuous nourishment of their babies. Nearly a decade of offering their bodies in service to life, growth, and love.
And now, a threshold has been crossed.
A gentle closing of one chapter… and the opening of another.
A time to begin reclaiming their bodies as their own.
To continue nurturing their families, but in new, evolving ways.
To soften, to restore, and to tend to the parts of themselves that have given so much for so long. Because while this journey is sacred and extraordinary, it is also demanding. It asks a lot of the body, the heart, and the nervous system.
This next phase feels like a return. A remembering. A slow unfolding back into self. Or a new version of themselves, as they adapt to this new phase. This is now a time to feel their bodies as their own again. To still care for their families, just in different ways now. A time for rediscovering who they are now — not just as mothers, but as women.

The Autumnal Equinox in Australia falls on March 21, 2026. This moment marks a beautiful turning point — a portal where day and night come into balance. It’s a powerful time to reconnect with our own rhythms and bring our bodies back into harmony with the natural cycles of light and dark.

In the days leading up to the Equinox, and for a few days afterwards, I invite you to try a simple daily practice.

When you wake in the morning, step outside and greet the light of the new day.

If you can, place your bare feet on the earth and take a moment to feel the ground beneath you. Pause there and acknowledge the living earth that supports you. You might say quietly, either out loud or in your heart:

Thank you beautiful Earth, thank you for giving me life.

Then gently raise your hands toward the morning sun and say:

Thank you beautiful Sun, thank you for giving me life.

Take a moment to feel your appreciation for the sun and its warmth.

Connect to your breath and to the earth beneath your feet. You might like to add some gentle movement here — perhaps a few simple movements from QiGong or yoga, letting the body wake slowly and naturally.

As you breathe in, imagine you are drawing the potent energy of the sun into your body — the light that nourishes life, bringing clarity, wisdom and vitality. As you breathe out, allow the breath to travel down through your body and into the earth beneath you, connecting with its grounding, stabilising energy.

In the evenings during this time, try to soften the artificial light around you. Use candles where you can, or lamps with warm red or orange tones. Limit technology in the evening hours and allow your body to reconnect with natural darkness.

These small shifts can help guide your body gently into the darker months ahead, supporting the balance of your hormones, your circadian rhythm, and your connection with the quiet wisdom of the season.

A Tea Ceremony meditation is one of the most profoundly nurturing and transformative practices you can experience, particularly when it comes to mental clarity, emotional healing, and overall well-being. This ritual is not just about sipping tea—it’s a deep journey into the self, an invitation to slow down, connect, and truly listen to what your body and mind are telling you.

The tea used in these ceremonies is a subtle yet powerful plant medicine, infused with centuries of wisdom. Each sip guides you deeper into a state of calm presence, where the mind begins to quiet, and the body begins to relax. The natural compounds in the tea help to clear mental fog and promote a sense of peace, while also opening up the heart space, encouraging introspection, clarity, and emotional balance. As you sit with the tea, the plants offer their energy in a way that is gentle but potent—creating an opportunity for profound shifts in both mindset and emotional state.

Each ceremony is unique and offers a chance for healing. The tea acts as a bridge between the physical and spiritual, helping to center your energy and create a sense of groundedness, allowing you to approach life with a clearer, more open perspective. The gentle focus required during the ceremony invites you to release stress, let go of worries, and shift into a space of trust, clarity, and deep relaxation.

Everyone could benefit from the ritual of tea ceremony meditation. In a world that moves at such a rapid pace, it’s easy to become disconnected from our inner selves. Tea ceremony offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect, recalibrate, and reenergize. It is a simple, yet potent tool for fostering well-being, building mindfulness, and cultivating a resilient mindset.

If you’re ready to embark on a transformative journey, I invite you to join me for an upcoming ceremony. Let’s come together, sip mindfully, and experience the healing power of tea. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you.

Book your spot now, and allow the medicine of tea to guide you toward a place of balance and clarity.
