Following on from yesterday’s Valentine’s Day.. maybe ‘palentines’ day. You know, our pals, mates, bro’s, sisters, friends, besties, chosen family. Whatever they are called, they are the ones we love (even if we don’t like them sometimes) it got me thinking 🤔 …what kind of friend am I? I feel I am the funny goofy one. The ‘let’s go do this’ ideas one. The one who’ll make you laugh at inappropriate things at inappropriate times. Is there such a thing though? 🤔😝 hmmm maybe 🤔 also the one who’ll be there for you and yes I know, sometimes I really want to fix things but I know I need to be better at asking you what you need rather than me going in all bull in a china shop. 🐂🫖 I’m working on that! Anyway, what kind of friend are you?

Today I tried a tri. 🤦‍♀️🤣 fun! Do hard things they say. I say, do unfamiliar things and they will become familiar. Great atmosphere. 📣my swim was 💩 haha, definitely need to train more in open water with obstacles and….. I accidentally ran twice as far as I should have - oops! Always follow your gps device people, not the crowd, note to self for the next one, next month…. The birthday tri! ( note.. will not be in my birthday suit)

Thank you to my gear people, fitness hoomans and supporters , , for putting on a great show! (I mean event for athletes) here’s one happy unprofessional athlete 😝🙋‍♀️❤️🤦‍♀️🚀🚴‍♀️🏊🏃

We are entertaining ourselves to death.
Scrolling. Consuming. Numbing. It’s a dopamine drug addiction but we are calling it connection.

I don’t want to be entertained.
I want to be enlightened by what I consume. By what I feed my mind and nervous system.

I want offline more than online.
And when we are online, I want it to lead back inline, with people, in real life.

I want real.
Raw.
Honest.
Shared experiences.
Depth over dopamine.
Connection over performance.

I want to disconnect from the noise
and reconnect in person, with no bu****it and nothing complicated.

Just humans being human.

Here’s me face n stuff. 😝 Just finished coaching a client who’s in their 50s and stepping into a new stage of life.

New direction.
New work.
New home.
New relationships.

Not because everything completely fell apart.
Because what used to fit, just doesn’t anymore. And without squeezing into ‘shoulds’ we are simply being smarter not harder. More considered and aligned if you will. 🎩

Basically, just less s**t stuff more good stuff.

Growth doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like choosing differently without needing a crisis to justify it. No big performance 🎭

This is the work I love.
Relationship renovation isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about updating how you relate to your life when you’ve outgrown an old version of it.

You’re not starting over.
You’re continuing, with more honesty and authenticity.

I looked at, and reflected on, what actually happened last year.

What worked.
What didn’t.
What I kept repeating.
What I avoided.

Ok, so this isn’t about erasing them or pretending it didn’t matter. It’s about stopping the mental loops, calming your nervous system, and getting yourself back.

Five days.
One focus per day.
Practical. Doable. Effective.

DAY 1 – STOP THE SPIN 🧠

Most people think they’re struggling because they don’t have answers. They’re not.

They’re struggling because their nervous system is stuck on high alert.

Today is not about understanding the breakup.
It’s about stopping the spin.

Try this once today when the loop starts.
“I see the story. I don’t have to be in it.”
Then breathe. 4 in. 6 out. Five rounds.

That’s it. Don’t overdo it.

Tomorrow we deal with the thing that keeps pulling you back in.
