Some of you who followed this page may know, some may not...

It’s with great sadness that we said goodbye to one of the good ones today 😢

Mauricio Munoz, as always, fought to the end, but last week succumbed to a short battle to a very aggressive cancer. Nicknamed ‘the roach’, you can’t kill em’, Mauricio ALWAYS gave everything and ALWAYS fought for what he believed in. Today I learned that even 2 weeks before his death, even after swearing he’d never run again following lasts years amazing efforts, knowing full well that he had terminal cancer, that he’d entered the 2020 Melbourne Marathon, the full 42.2km!

We will keep this page open permanently for all those who wish to reflect back on the great things this man did, but not post to it.

Lastly, in honour of this great man, and I believe befitting, I have signed up and will be running for him under the name badge, “4 U ROACH”. Those who wish to join are more than welcome.

RIP Roach, you touched so many but will never be foregotten.

Today was the day everyone came out to play and we played hard!! My body wanted to quit from 6km and through the whole 3hrs 24min it took me to dark places I did not want to go back ..... and though I could not physically run the whole distance, I made it to the finishing line!!
Thank you everyone for your beautiful support and for believing in me - it was tougher than I anticipated 😩!!
Thank you to my beautiful family - you are biggest critics and I love you for it 😘!
Thank you Mark H, David B, Carla, Melissa, Robert and Tyrone for joining me today - it was carnage out there 😬 - mostly me 🤪!

We’ll keep the fund raiser open for another to see if we can reach $6k!!!

So proud and in awe of this guy... set himself a goal, never faltered under extreme adversity and soldiered on to complete a half marathon to raise over $6k for the the The Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency Department. Mauricio Munoz , you are a hero! Big thanks to David Barnes throughout the year and all others who have supported.
