As a mother of three young children, I remember all too well that overwhelming feeling of a baby that doesn't sleep well. At some time we've all had that dreaded feeling of 'how am I going to do this, and when will I sleep again?"
I have a Bachelor of Nursing, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery. For over 18 years I have worked as a midwife in both public and private Hospitals. It’s so easy to hope for that magical night where your little one drifts off peacefully and sleeps right through. And while that does happen for some, for most families, it takes time, patience, and lots of deep breaths.
Just like us, babies are sensitive to change. Sleep is a learned skill, and adjusting to a new way of settling can feel a little unfamiliar at first.

Hello!
I thought it may be time I reintroduced myself.
I'm Richelle, Founder and CEO of Sleep right tonight.
I have three children. Henry who is 11, Emily is 9 and Angus who is 4.
I worked as a Midwife for 23 years in busy Melbourne hospitals. I loved my job, but after having Henry I wanted more flexibility and to be more present for my family....so at 37 I took a huge leap and started my own business as a certified Sleep Consultant.
I learnt from the best, Dana Obleman. After completing her extensive graduation process, I began taking clients of my own - and have worked with over 1500 families since Sleep right tonight began.

Has your little one learnt a new skill, and sleep has been disturbed? Don't panic.... Sleep should be restored in a night or two. Developmental milestones can sometimes affect your child's sleep. Rolling, sitting, walking etc are exciting and your child may wake at night to practice their new tricks!

Bedtime shouldn't be a battle. A consistent bedtime routine helps prepare your child for sleep- the same process each night will help cue your little one that sleep time is approaching.
The ideal routine shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes from bath to bed.
