Wrapping up our final in-person Risk Education workshop and CPR training session of 2025 in Sydney!

Members joined us for a day of learning, discussion, and professional development, exploring topics including AI transcription tools, litigation updates, dento-legal insights, investigations and inspections, and the work of the Medical Council of NSW.

A big thank you to our speakers – MIPS’ Dr Owen Bradfield, Anna McBean and Dileni Fernando, Marianne Nicolle (Principal, Meridian Lawyers), Linda Yang (Legal and Regulatory Services Branch, NSW Health), Wes Skaf (Pharmaceutical Services, NSW Ministry of Health), and Dr Penelope Elix (Director, Medical Council of NSW) – for sharing their expertise, and to all members who joined us, contributing to such an engaging and insightful day.

We’d also like to acknowledge Dr Pamela Ferrada, our Member Education, Knowledge and Research Manager, for bringing this year’s national workshop series to life.

It was a fantastic way to close out the year’s workshop series and strengthen our professional community. Over the past two months, we’ve welcomed over 500 members across our in-person events, and we’re thrilled with the enthusiasm and engagement from our community.

It was a pleasure to be in Perth last weekend for our Regulatory and Litigation Risk Update workshop – the latest in our 2025 Risk Education series exclusive to MIPS members.

Our expert panel – MIPS’ Dr Owen Bradfield, Dr Carrie McKenzie, and Dr Gerard Clausen, alongside Enore Panetta of Panetta McGrath Lawyers – led an engaging day of discussion on some of the most relevant medico-legal issues facing practitioners today, including:
