Mindful Acorn

Mindful Acorn Mental wellness services and comprehensive mindfulness programs for couples, families, and individuals.

Supporting your journey to a more fulfilling life through a blend of psychology, mind-body connections, and mindfulness. My name is Zoe - I am the founder and sole coach of Mindful Acorn Coaching, where I blend my academic background in psychological science and counselling with holistic practices to offer a unique and evidence-based approach to personal growth. As a certified Mindfulness Coach and trained yoga teacher specialising in adaptable and accessible vinyasa and hatha practices, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the mind-body connection to my work. Currently in my final year of the bachelor’s degree in psychological science and counselling, my approach is informed by the theoretical frameworks within these fields, and I am passionate about integrating science and holistic wellness. I have extensive experience working with trauma, neurodiversity, and complex needs, as well as having all the life experience that comes with being a mum to five. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their inner worlds, break free from limiting patterns, and live with greater balance and fulfillment.

Hello Facebook! It's been a little while.

I've been busy behind the scenes at Mindful Acorn, finishing up some wonderful programs and having the privilege of working with amazing young people both in person and online all around the world!

While I’ve kept the online programs a bit quiet until now, I'm excited (and a little nervous!) to finally open up *new* spots for Thrive Lab: an 8-week resilience and mindfulness course for kids aged 11–14 (flexible age range).

The program runs through Outschool and combines mindfulness practices with psychological science, helping young people build resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth in a fun, supportive environment.

Although it’s already listed on Outschool, I wanted to extend a personal invitation here - to family, friends, friends of family, and families of friends - to help spread the word or join us if you know a young person who might benefit.

Thank you for supporting myself with my lovely little Mindful Acorn and the work I love so much 🌱

(Feel free to message me if you’d like more info!)

This 8-week course helps young people to develop self-regulation, resilience, and goal-setting skills. Using mindfulness, psychological science, and engaging activities students build self-awareness and practical strategies for growth.

Did you know that mindfulness is not just good for the mind, but it's also great for your body!

If you want 2025 to be the year you engage in heart, body, and mind healing I would love to be a part of your journey. Reach out today and let's talk about your goals for this year!

✨ Happy New Year, beautiful people! ✨

As we step into 2025, I want to wish each of you peace, calm, and clarity for the year ahead. I want to thank each and every individual that has shared their life with me throughout 2024 - I cannot quite express how I feel about each of you, except to say that I am so honoured to have shared and held space with you. I am so incredibly proud of each and every single one of you 🌿

This year brings excitement and change for me, and in reflecting on what I truly want, I keep coming back to this: success doesn’t have to mean grinding endlessly. It’s about finding peace and flow in the process, staying connected to what I love, and sharing that joy with others.

Let’s make 2025 the year we embrace what feels right for our hearts and minds, leaning into growth without losing sight of what truly matters. Here’s to a year of meaningful moments and intentional living.

*** Participants Wanted for New Program with Mindful Acorn! ***

I am looking for 2 individuals, 2 couples, and at least one neurodiverse individual (self-identified is fine!) to participate at significantly reduced rates (see below for cost). BONUS! If you’ve worked with me before or know me personally, you are still welcome to apply!

Hi there friends! As you all know, I run a mindfulness and yoga business called Mindful Acorn, and I am passionate about psychology, mental health, and the mind-body connection.
I am looking to extend my business to include working with somatic healing, integrating psychological science and holistic wellness to enhance emotional, psychological, physical health, and mental wellness. I am looking for individuals and couples willing to participate in a pilot program at extremely reduced rates (see below for cost).

Who runs Mindful Acorn?
Just in case we haven't met - hi! I'm Zoe - founder of Mindful Acorn. In a nutshell my qualifications and experience include my bachelor’s degree in psychological science and counselling (currently on final placement and supervision, graduating trimester 1 2025), certificate IV in alcohol and other drugs, 200-hour yoga teaching certificate and mindfulness coaching certification though The International Association of Yoga Therapy and Yoga Alliance and I am currently embarking on my certification in somatic healing. I am also an experienced support worker, and have a variety of experience in counselling youth and adults across various contexts including school well-being programs. Additionally, I am the elected student representative for undergraduates at the Australian College of Applied Professions, and I have founded and currently run a group of volunteer fundraisers that focus on supporting mental health programs and research.

What’s the Program About?

You’ll learn a variety of somatic practices to help release tension, trauma, and emotional blocks stored in the body, while also developing emotional intelligence and trauma resolution skills. The program blends evidence-based psychological techniques, somatic practices, and mindfulness tools to support your overall health—emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Program Details:

Sessions take place in-person in Croydon, with flexible scheduling. After an initial screening, the program runs for 6 weeks:
• Weeks 1 & 2: 1-hour in-person sessions
• Week 3: 30-minute reflection and feedback (via Zoom)
• Weeks 4 & 5: 1-hour in-person sessions
• Week 6: Final interview, a relaxed conversation over tea to gather feedback (recorded and transcribed for data collection, no personal details used)
What’s the Catch?
You’ll be asked to provide detailed feedback via short questionnaires and one interview. This feedback will be used to shape future programs. No identifying details will be shared.

Cost:

$140 total (includes materials and your own take-home yoga mat).
Please note: This price covers program costs and all profit goes back into the program. As such, no refunds or cancellations are available, however - rescheduling is easy and times are flexible.
After completing the program, you’ll have the option to continue at reduced rates if you feel you require more time together working through the process. My focus is always on helping you exit the program confidently rather than keeping clients returning indefinitely.

Who Can Join?

• You have little to no experience or some experience but little confidence with yoga or mindfulness practices.
• You’re open-minded, willing to learn, and comfortable giving feedback.
• You are not currently in crisis and feel ready to engage in this program.
• You are physically capable of participating. In-person sessions are currently held in a space with many stairs and no wheelchair access. Minor physical ailments are fine – communication is key, and I love collaborating to create adaptable and accessible practices that work for your body!

Day 2 of the 100km challenge.

Cardio is hardio, and the best part about running is finding the mat afterwards, even if your legs are too shakey to hold a pose 😉

You can still donate and make a difference to mental health care in Australia.

This week I saw the Christmas decorations start up in the shops, and as someone that works in mental health my heart sank a little.
While Christmas is often seen as one of the happiest and most social times of the year, for nearly one in three Australians, it’s a period marked by loneliness and heightened emotional strain. 31% of Australians often feel lonely around the festive season, with younger adults, particularly men aged 18 to 34, reporting the highest levels of isolation.
To help prevent this emotional strain and build resilience before the season arrives, I’m offering a Holiday Wellness Special through my mental wellness and mindfulness business, Mindful Acorn. Mental Wellness Sessions are a proactive way to prepare for the pressures that often come with the holidays.
From now until December 24th, all clients, new and returning, can enjoy 25% off their sessions. Each session is just $60 (regularly $80), and you can book up to 12 sessions with no commitment to ongoing appointments or higher fees.
These one-on-one sessions are designed to help you manage emotional challenges before they escalate during the holiday season. Through relaxation techniques, guided meditations, and strategies for improving your emotional resilience, you’ll learn how to cope with stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness. You’ll also walk away with tools and materials to continue your personal development throughout the season.
These sessions can help you:
• Build emotional resilience to prepare for holiday stress
• Develop effective coping strategies to manage loneliness and anxiety
• Engage in personalised relaxation techniques, meditations, and even yoga
• Reframe problematic thought patterns and increase self-connection
• Approach the holiday season with more clarity, balance, and peace
Booking Details:
• Offer valid until December 24th
• Maximum of 12 sessions per client
• No commitment required for ongoing sessions
• Clients receive materials to continue their personal growth
By addressing your emotional and psychological resilience early, you’ll be better equipped to navigate the holiday season with more ease and self-awareness. Don’t wait until the pressure builds.
