This case was a true journey—a congenitally missing upper lateral incisor, canine substitution on one side, a retained deciduous canine, and a peg lateral with recession on the other—despite soft tissue grafting attempts. But, we didn’t stop there. There was wear to manage and heavily restored teeth.
By thoughtfully reshaping the canine and designing ceramics with modified proportions, we achieved a natural, harmonious result—taking the patient’s smile to a whole new level. Remember, natural isn’t about perfection—it’s about balance, harmony, and confidence in your smile.

✨ When Challenge Meets Reward ✨

Sometimes, the higher the difficulty of a case, the greater the reward 💫

This patient presented with a history of cleft lip and palate repair, missing lateral incisors with implants placed at a young age, and old crowns on her maxillary central incisors. Unsurprisingly, she was unhappy with the aesthetics and function 😔➡️😊

We began by optimising oral hygiene 🪥, followed by meticulous planning and replacement of her existing restorations with new zirconia crowns 🦷✨
Although this was a four-unit case, the real challenge was in the details — long preparations, preserving pulpal health ❤️, and achieving harmony between tooth position, aesthetics, and a compromised lip form 👄

Balancing biology, function, and beauty was key 🔑

The result? A confident, natural smile and a very happy patient 😁💖
At her review appointment, she shared some beautiful news — she is now expecting 👶✨
