Recovering from an injury can sometimes feel slow and challenging — both mentally and physically. We know it can be tempting to jump straight back in, but taking the right steps first can make all the difference in a safe and successful return. 💪
Here are a few things to consider:
1️⃣ Have you completed your rehab?
Rehabilitation exercises are prescribed for a reason — to support healing, rebuild strength, and get your body back to doing what it loves. The more consistent you are with your rehab plan, the smoother your return to sport or activity is likely to be. Often you’ll begin a gradual return before rehab is fully complete, our Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist team will guide you every step of the way.
2️⃣ Are you actually ready?
Feeling okay day-to-day doesn’t always mean you’re ready for sport. Many activities require jumping, changing direction, power, speed and more. Our team will help you prepare for the specific demands of your sport with tailored exercises so you can return with confidence.
3️⃣ Are you listening to your body?
As you return, pay attention to how your body feels before, during and after activity. Any discomfort, pain, or uncertainty is worth checking in about. Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are here to adjust your plan and support you through every stage of recovery.
You don’t have to navigate injury recovery alone — the team at Rise Health Group is here to support your journey back to doing what you love, safely and confidently.
