Recovering from an injury can sometimes feel slow and challenging — both mentally and physically. We know it can be tempting to jump straight back in, but taking the right steps first can make all the difference in a safe and successful return. 💪

Here are a few things to consider:

1️⃣ Have you completed your rehab?
Rehabilitation exercises are prescribed for a reason — to support healing, rebuild strength, and get your body back to doing what it loves. The more consistent you are with your rehab plan, the smoother your return to sport or activity is likely to be. Often you’ll begin a gradual return before rehab is fully complete, our Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist team will guide you every step of the way.

2️⃣ Are you actually ready?
Feeling okay day-to-day doesn’t always mean you’re ready for sport. Many activities require jumping, changing direction, power, speed and more. Our team will help you prepare for the specific demands of your sport with tailored exercises so you can return with confidence.

3️⃣ Are you listening to your body?
As you return, pay attention to how your body feels before, during and after activity. Any discomfort, pain, or uncertainty is worth checking in about. Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are here to adjust your plan and support you through every stage of recovery.

You don’t have to navigate injury recovery alone — the team at Rise Health Group is here to support your journey back to doing what you love, safely and confidently.

Last week Rise Health Group Exercise Physiologist Mirium had the absolute joy of sharing breakfast with the wonderful Eveline Lee, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday 🎉

Over an English breakfast, she shared stories from an incredible life and reflected on the many changes she’s seen across the past century. Eveline has attended our Friday Exercise Classes every single week for 25 years — and even more special, she was the one who started them in the first place. What a legacy of movement and community 💛

Her simple advice for a long, healthy life:
✨ Eat sensibly
✨ Exercise reasonably
✨ Try not to worry

We feel so lucky to have Eveline as part of our community. Here’s to staying active, connected and inspired at every age.

At Rise Health Group, we know that preparation is the foundation of performance — and sport is no exception.

When it comes to warming up, it’s easy to overthink it. The key is right there in the name: warm-up.

Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists encourage simple, effective movement to get your body ready. Start by getting your body moving to gradually increase your heart rate and blood flow — think skipping, brisk walking, jogging on the spot or any movement that gets you warm.

From there, layer in slightly higher-intensity exercises and targeted movements to activate key muscle groups like your core, glutes and quads.

A good warm-up doesn’t have to be complicated — it just needs to be purposeful. And if you’re unsure what’s right for your sport or body, the Rise Health Group team is always here to help you move better and perform at your best. 💪

✨ Back to work, back to moving well ✨

Now that the holidays are over and we’re settling back into our work routines, here’s a friendly reminder about posture at your desk 👇

Perfect posture doesn’t mean sitting perfectly still all day.
It’s actually about variety 🪑

If you spend a lot of time at a desk, keep these three things in mind:
✔️ Change your position regularly
✔️ Take frequent breaks
✔️ Be mindful of how you’re sitting or standing

Mixing things up helps keep your body comfortable, mobile and happy throughout the day.

We know it’s easy to get “in the zone” while working 💻 so if movement slips your mind, try setting a timer every 30 minutes to stand up, stretch, or take a quick micro-break.

Your body will thank you 🙌

Wow! It feels like just yesterday that the school holidays started, and now it’s almost time to go back to school. 🎒

After school holidays, it’s time to reset those routines, but also to check that the brand-new backpack is adjusted properly for a comfy fit and good posture.

Here’s to first-day smiles, new friends, and an amazing school year ahead! 🎉

At Rise Health Group, pain is something our Allied Health team discusses with our community every day. It’s not always easy to know what’s a normal response to movement and what may need a little extra attention. For example, some muscle soreness or discomfort can be completely normal when you increase your activity levels or try something new.

However, pain that lingers, worsens over time, or begins to interfere with your day-to-day life may be your body’s way of signaling that something else is going on. You know your body best, and tuning in to how it feels and responds to movement is an important part of staying healthy and active.

Our Allied Health team at Rise Health Group is here to help identify the factors contributing to your pain and to provide evidence-based care that supports you to keep moving safely, confidently and with purpose. If you’re experiencing ongoing discomfort or have concerns, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way.

School holidays are in full swing! 🌞 With a few weeks still to go, it’s the perfect time to get outside, soak up the sunshine, and keep bodies moving over summer.

For families, we love encouraging kids to stay active while keeping safety front of mind. Simple habits — like wearing supportive footwear, supervising outdoor play, and popping on a helmet for bike rides — go a long way in keeping little (and big) bodies happy and healthy.

At Rise Health Group, we believe movement should be fun, confidence-building, and safe. With the right balance, kids can stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and make the most of everything summer has to offer.

Don’t forget — Rise Health Group also offers youth classes designed to build confidence, strength, and a love of movement. Want to know more? Get in touch with our team, we’d love to help!
