To our wonderful clients.

We know how tough this latest lockdown has been on all of you.

Our Association has been fighting so hard to get our State Government to overturn it’s ridiculous decision to shut Myotherapist’s down.

If you have just 30seconds to please sign this petition it would mean so much and just might make some impact.

Thank you for all your ongoing support and messages. We really do hope we can see you all very soon.

No Science, No Sense in Andrews Announcements on Healthcare

Again we listen with disbelief as the Victorian government’s covid restrictions continue to unfairly draw arbitrary distinctions between parts of the healthcare profession

Myotherapists are trained in infection control. Yet, rather than being part of the solution, actively helping people manage chronic pain and healthcare issues, myotherapists are expected to sit back and simply watch and wait.

• The decision is not based on facts or evidence.
• There has been little, if any, consultation with the business (or health) community.
• There is a lack of modelling of the health impacts of these decisions on the community in the short, medium and long term.

The decision doesn’t even align with the Premier’s own promises that “no rules, no restrictions will be on longer than they need to be.”

This clearly demonstrates the arrogance of a government that makes decisions that seem more based on a “spin the bottle” approach to decision-making than science, facts or evidence.

Victorians can have face-to-face appointments with a range of allied health providers for the first time in months, but are not permitted to book remedial massages with myotherapists.

We are so sorry to everyone who needs us right now!

Once again we have been let down by CAHO, DHHS & our Government with no clear information or direction.

Our association is doing everything they can so we can open our doors again. They have scheduled meetings in the coming days to find out our future.
Stay strong and hopefully not too much longer before we can see you all again.

Our Association working extremely hard to get us back treating you face to face.

Time for Fair, Clear, Common-sense Access to Essential Healthcare for all Victorians

Myotherapy Australia (MA) joins the voices of other health and medical professionals calling for a sensible approach to Covid restrictions in Victoria.
