Clinical aromatherapy and massage to support women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond.

Provider of natural aromatherapy products, aromatherapy education and baby massage training to help mothers care for themselves and their families. My qualifications, experience and passion in nursing, midwifery, clinical aromatherapy and massage provided the foundations for Mother Nurture. Whilst studying aromatherapy, it became evident through discussions with women that many were reluctant to use aromatherapy during their pregnancy. Women are quite vulnerable during this time and with so much confusing and conflicting advice it was often simpler to do without. This spurred me on to develop a service where women could be assured they were receiving expert advice and care. Using mother nature to nurture mothers was essentially the vision. Mother Nurture has been supporting women through the roller coaster of life since 2010. I also love to provide parents with simple tools, such as natural aromatherapy products, aromatherapy education and baby massage techniques, to help care for themselves and their families.

Last day in clinic today! I am heading off for a short break for Christmas 🎄

My first day back will be Tuesday 30th December at Growing Bones, Yarraville (currently fully booked).

What a great year of baby massage it's been! I really love teaching new parents this important skill, whether it's in a group or private class.

There is only ONE SPOT left for this course.

This is the final course for this year! Planning is underway for 2026, but in the meantime private sessions can be booked. You can even get your own group together (minimum of 3) for a class.

Tag Team treatments are one option I’ve implemented to help parents get some much-needed care. 💚

Warisa and Sean have been seeing me regularly for aromatherapy massages at MAMA Midwifery Practice since their baby boy, Witthaya, was a few months old and he recently turned one!

Warisa gave this feedback recently:

Massage for new parents? 🤔

I understand how difficult it is to manage some time for yourself in the early days of parenting. We underestimate the physical toll parenting takes on our bodies, not to mention sleep deprivation and emotional upheaval. It is so important that you take care of yourself.💚

Here are some options I’ve put in place to make it easier for new parents to get the care they need.

☺️ 30 min express massage appointments

☺️Tag Team appointments
Book back-to-back appointments with someone else and each SAVE $10.
You can take turns to look after bub, and it may be easier to work around feeding times.
You may want to book in with your partner or your mum or support person

☺️ After-hours availability
I am available some evenings and alternate Saturdays. Always feel free to contact me if you can’t find a suitable time. Most days I can be a bit flexible!

You are ALWAYS welcome to bring your baby or child in with you to either clinic. I have done many treatments with baby in tow.👼

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if there’s anything I can do to help you get in for a much-needed treatment.

“When can I have a massage after birth?”

This is a common question I get from mums I’ve been treating through their pregnancy. Many think they need to allow a certain amount of time to recover prior to massage, others are worried about having massage in the early days of breastfeeding.

Massage, along with tailored aromatherapy if appropriate, can be really beneficial in assisting a new mum recover from birth and adjust to the demands of motherhood.

Benefits can include:

💚 Promote recovery from birth: whatever the birth experienced your body has been through a huge event, similar to running a marathon!

💚 Hormonal balance and emotional support

💚 Relief from muscular aches and pains, often associated with birth and/or breastfeeding posture

💚 Circulatory balance and reduction of fluid retention

💚 Support for fatigue and poor sleep

Techniques and positioning will be adjusted according to your birth, feeding and any issues experienced.
Massage is possible any time after birth; however if you’ve had a caesarean it is recommended to gain clearance from your midwife or doctor for massage within the first 6 weeks.

Whilst it is preferable to enjoy some time out on your own, babies are very welcome in my massage room. I have often done full massages with baby in tow, adjusting positioning as we go if baby needs to feed or settle. 👼
