Clinical aromatherapy and massage to support women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond.
Provider of natural aromatherapy products, aromatherapy education and baby massage training to help mothers care for themselves and their families. My qualifications, experience and passion in nursing, midwifery, clinical aromatherapy and massage provided the foundations for Mother Nurture. Whilst studying aromatherapy, it became evident through discussions with women that many were reluctant to use aromatherapy during their pregnancy. Women are quite vulnerable during this time and with so much confusing and conflicting advice it was often simpler to do without. This spurred me on to develop a service where women could be assured they were receiving expert advice and care. Using mother nature to nurture mothers was essentially the vision. Mother Nurture has been supporting women through the roller coaster of life since 2010. I also love to provide parents with simple tools, such as natural aromatherapy products, aromatherapy education and baby massage techniques, to help care for themselves and their families.

Tag Team treatments are one option I’ve implemented to help parents get some much-needed care. 💚
Warisa and Sean have been seeing me regularly for aromatherapy massages at MAMA Midwifery Practice since their baby boy, Witthaya, was a few months old and he recently turned one!
Warisa gave this feedback recently:
‘I have been so achy since Witthaya’s arrival from all the nursing, lifting and carrying and look forward to each session with Sonya every time, knowing that the 90mins ahead is just for me. Her aromatherapy massages are so nourishing and relaxing. I highly encourage other parents to make time for themselves too, it’s so important. If you have an hour free, book it in with Sonya!’
The back-to-back massages work well so they can take turns looking after him while getting their own ‘me time’. 😊
Bonus: you each get $10 OFF for Tag Team appointments too!
Book online or DM me if you have any questions.

Did you know, when we massage babies, we always start on the legs?
This is because they are very familiar with touch around this area - with all the nappy changing! Touching their legs feels comfortable and safe. Massage on some other areas of the body such as the arms and chest can feel more intrusive.
Massaging babies is very different compared to adults. This is why it’s important to learn the correct timing, sequence and techniques for baby massage.
There is ONE SPOT left for my baby massage course starting this Saturday 13th September. The course runs over 3 sessions, with subsequent sessions on the following Wednesdays. The Saturday class can also be attended as an Introduction session.
New dads love learning the valuable skill of baby massage.
Research shows baby massage enhances the bond between dads and their babies, helping them to feel more involved and confident in their new role.
One study from Toronto, Canada found that participation in infant massage classes by fathers had a significant effect on reducing their stress levels. Fathers reported feeling less isolated and more competent as a valued caregiver, and also felt a greater sense of attachment with their babies as a result of doing the baby massage classes.
🎁You can purchase a gift voucher for a group or private baby massage session.
Or simply book into my next course commencing 13th September at MAMA (3 SPOTS LEFT)

Next Baby Massage course .au starts on 13th September.
Did you know that all the benefits of baby massage are evidence-based? And the benefits aren’t just for baby but parents too.
These benefits include:
• Reduced crying time
• Improved sleep
• Improved mood
• Relief from wind, colic, reflux and constipation
• Boosts immune system
• Relief of sinus and chest congestion
• Enhanced bonding & confidence in parents
I absolutely love teaching baby massage to new (or expectant) parents! Once the correct techniques and sequences are learnt, it’s a tool parents can use throughout their child’s life - not just for babies but right up to teenage years. A skill for life!
Here are 4 reasons to encourage you to make time for a nurturing massage this winter.
1. Enhance your immune function to make it easier to fight off those winter cold and flu bugs. Massage increases lymph flow, responsible for a healthy immune system. Also, it’s a well-known fact that when we are feeling happy and positive, we are less likely to succumb to illness. (see point 4 below) ⠀
2. Get your blood pumping to increase circulation to your extremities and help warm up cold hands and feet. ⠀
3. Massage with good quality oils will help to nourish dry skin. Skin can easily become dehydrated during winter due to cold, dry air outside as well as extensive heating inside. ⠀
4. With a drop in temperature and less daylight hours in winter, our mental wellbeing can take a downward turn as well. I know this is definitely the case for me!
Massage has been shown to increase oxytocin levels, our ‘happy hormone’, and reduce stress hormones (cortisol) hence improving our mood. ⠀
PS. My room is always warm, and I have a beautiful big heat pack 😊

Cosy evenings 😊
I am here every Monday until 9.00pm. I will also be offering later appointments on alternate Tuesdays as well, as some of my other after hours options have changed.
After hours spots always book up quickly, so don't hesitate to contact myself or the clinic for options or to go onto the waitlist

❄️ Winter Wellness Tips ❄️
Support your body and your mind this season
As the days grow colder, it’s natural to feel a little more tired, flat, or run-down. Winter is your invitation to slow down and nourish yourself with small, meaningful rituals.
Here are my favourite ways to stay well in winter:
🌿 Move gently – Walks, stretching or yoga help keep your energy flowing
🍲 Nourish with warm, seasonal food – Think soups, herbal teas, and immune-boosting herbs
😴 Prioritise rest – Create a cosy wind-down routine (bonus: essential oils help here!)
🧠 Care for your mental health – Journaling, creativity, and staying connected can work wonders
🪟 Get some Fresh Air - Get outside daily, whatever the weather! Also, open up windows and doors to air out the house when possible.
And of course... aromatherapy is your winter best friend ✨
I’ve created custom blends to support you and your family:
🤲 Protect – to purify the air + protect against viruses
💨 Breathe – For clear breathing + sinus support
👶 Gentle Breathe – Safe + soothing for little ones
🛁 Cold & Flu Bath + Massage Blends – Warming, comforting and supportive
😃 Mood boosting essential oil blends + aroma roll-ons
Available now in the shop – message me or tap the link in bio to explore.
Take care this winter – your body and mind will thank you 💚
