If I had a dollar for every woman told “your TSH is normal so your thyroid is fine”… I’d own a yacht, three pilates studios, and a small Greek island by now. 🏝️✨

Let’s be clear:
TSH is not your thyroid.
TSH is your brain sending a memo — and half the time the memo is delayed, missing pages, or written by someone who hasn’t slept in 10 years.

You can have “perfect” TSH and still be:
🔥 exhausted
🔥 gaining weight for no reason
🔥 losing hair (outer brows included… iconic)
🔥 freezing cold
🔥 bloated
🔥 dealing with cycle drama

But sure… go off, TSH. 👏😂

If your symptoms are loud but your TSH is whispering, it’s not you — it’s the wrong test.

A proper thyroid check looks at:
Free T4
Free T3
Reverse T3
Thyroid antibodies (autoimmune clues),
Nutrients that actually make your thyroid work like iron, zinc, vitamin D

Your body has been telling you the truth.
Your TSH just… hasn’t. 💅🔥

Ever notice that in the follicular phase you suddenly get the urge to:
• start new projects
• reorganise your whole life
• book appointments
• try a new workout
• socialise more and feel flirty
• eat fresher, lighter foods
• feel like “yourself” again?

There’s a hormonal reason. 👇

During the follicular phase, oestrogen starts to rise steadily.
This boosts dopamine + serotonin, which means:
💡 more motivation
💡 sharper thinking
💡 better mood
💡 higher pain tolerance
💡 quicker recovery from exercise
💡 increased confidence

It’s basically your body’s built-in reset + rise mode.

So if you’re feeling that spark to makeover your habits, clean the pantry, book the dentist, lift heavier weights, or say yes to life again — you’re not “suddenly productive.”
You’re hormonally primed for growth. 🌱

Honour it. Use it. Enjoy it.
Your follicular phase is your time to create momentum without burning out.

It’s never “just” perimenopause.
Research shows that up to 80% of women experience symptoms that significantly affect mood, sleep, metabolism, energy and quality of life during this transition — yet most are told to “wait it out.”

But science tells a different story:

✅ Oestrogen and progesterone fluctuations can impact serotonin, GABA and insulin sensitivity — leading to mood changes, anxiety, weight shifts and sleep disruption.
✅ Rising cortisol during this stage is linked to belly fat accumulation and poor sleep.
✅ Many women experience thyroid changes, which can worsen fatigue, brain fog and temperature dysregulation.
✅ Heavy or irregular bleeding often has root causes: low progesterone, fibroids, iron deficiency, adenomyosis or insulin resistance — not “just hormones.”

Perimenopause is a biological transition, but suffering through it isn’t inevitable.
There are evidence-based options:
• Nutrition + blood sugar support
• Targeted herbal medicine
• Stress and sleep interventions
• Hormone testing and personalised treatment plans
• And yes — HRT if clinically indicated and safe but let’s investigate your symptoms wholistically first.

Women deserve more than dismissal.
If you feel like you’ve been brushed off, there are answers and you’re not alone.

📩 Send me a message if you want science-backed support rather than “just wait it out.”

Your phone might be the most overlooked hormone disruptor in your life✨

We often think hormone balance comes from food, supplements, or stress management — but it’s also about light, rhythm, and energy.

That late-night scroll? The blue light and constant stimulation tell your brain it’s still daytime — suppressing melatonin, throwing off your circadian rhythm, and creating hormonal chaos.

Over time, this disconnects us from the natural cycles we’re designed to follow — especially the lunar cycle. 🌙
Our moods, sleep, and menstrual rhythms are meant to ebb and flow like the moon — not the algorithm.

Try this:
☀️ Get some morning light before screen light first thing in the morning

🌑 At night, switch off your phone after sunset.
🌕 Step outside, breathe, and realign with the moon’s light instead of your screen’s glow.

Late luteal mood board…. The older I get, the more sensitive I am to the epic hormonal drop in the late luteal phase of my menstrual cycle. To be honest, it’s a huge transition for women at any phase of their reproductive lives but I think more so during the s**t show of hormonal changes in perimenopause and beyond. At times I feel cranky and irritated and things just get to me. Perimenopause can feel like your body has suddenly turned against you 😩… one month your cycle is normal, the next it’s late (or super heavy), your sleep is broken, you’re snapping at people for no reason, and the cravings hit harder than ever. Add in brain fog, bloating, anxiety and random hot flushes 🔥 and it’s easy to wonder if you’re ‘losing it.’ You’re not. 💛 This is your body shifting gears — and with the right support, you don’t have to just ‘put up with it.’ Some things to think about:
🌿 Balance your blood sugar → eat protein with every meal to calm mood swings + cravings.
• 💧 Hydrate → dehydration makes hot flushes + brain fog worse.
• 💤 Prioritise sleep → magnesium + good sleep hygiene = smoother moods.
• 🌸 Support your liver → cruciferous veggies help process excess estrogen.
• ✨ Stress less → daily breathwork or meditation lowers cortisol + eases anxiety.
• 🏃‍♀️ Move smart → strength training + walking > endless cardio for hormone balance.
• ☀️ Boost vitamin D → supports mood + bones during the transition.
Don’t wait until things get really bad. It’s time for me to do some hormone testing and really get working on supporting my hormones so I can move through this next phase of my life feeling strong, resilient and balanced. I’d love to help you too. Book a consultation with me today via the link in my bio and let’s started!

Getting the foundations right is SO important when it comes to optimising your hormones and your fertility. Sometimes the answer is something inexpensive and as basic as getting your vitamin C levels optimised! Humans don’t make vitamin C (neither do guinea pigs!) so we need to get ours from dietary (or supplement) sources! If you have a short luteal phase, have issues with progesterone production or suboptimal fertility, vitamin C is worth a try. Book a consultation with me via the link in my profile if you need more targeted or individualised support for your hormonal issues

I am often telling myself that I don’t have enough time...... always blaming busy-ness for skipping the gym, doom scrolling when I should be focusing, procrastinating so that I don’t have to get started to the work I really need to do!
We are PRIMED to choose things that keep us comfortable even if these choices keep us stuck! Our brains are afraid of change (even if that change is going to end up improving our mental, physical and spiritual health!) Choosing to work on your issues takes bravery, it takes ownership of what choices are keeping you stuck and definitely takes an investment in time and money too....... it means changing chatter in your head! BUT when all is said and done, it’s often the things we don’t do or don’t choose to change that we regret later on. Decide today that you are going to start moving forward. Spend some time focusing in on your perspective and your priorities and choose yourself today. I’m here if you are ready to get the ball rolling on your health issues and finish the year (only four more months eek!), being brave enough to finally start making change for the better.
