Created by 16 women with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Bowel Buddies is a safe space for people experiencing this horrible disease.
Bowel Buddies’ founding members were all diagnosed at a young age and were therefore able to feel the gap in support that was specific to young adults. Having been connected through IBD icon, , the girls made a support group chat of their own. After connecting, finding support and forming close friendships through this chat, they had the idea of making a bigger support network so that all young people with IBD could reap the benefits that these connections brought.
We will be sharing jokes, information, tips and tricks, support and much more on this account. Our content and space is designed for young adults (15-30 year olds), but welcomes anyone with IBD or anyone without the disease who is interested in becoming an informed and supportive IBD ally :)
Bowel Buddies is coming to you today, on the last day of IBD Awareness Week, to illustrate the words of : Every week is Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week, but in December, we’re louder!
