So much fun on Friday back at Glengarry primary, this time with the little legends in Foundation.
We kicked off Phase One & Two of our Healthier Hearts, Lighter Minds program 💚

Through games and experiments, we explored the 6 core emotions! Learning how to recognise and express their feelings in a safe and positive way.

A perfect start to building strong, healthy minds 💚🖤

PSA 🚨‼️

There’s been a growing trend locally of practitioners referrals being sent our way for 1:1 services such as anger management, DV, anxiety, depression and even matters relating to court disputes and child custody.

We’re now having people reach out saying things like, “I’ve been sent your way, so I can get my kids back.” Or “the GP said you were the best place locally for suicidal thoughts for my daughter”

That should never be the pathway.

This needs to be clear.

Mindfull Aus is not a clinical or therapeutic service. We don’t offer a 1:1 option nor do we have the ability to support with DV, Anger Management, Child Custody, Court Disputes. We provide trainings and programs to schools, workplaces & sporting clubs.

We are not the appropriate pathway for individual treatment, diagnosis or legal-related matters.

When people reach out to us in these situations, it often means they’ve been directed away from the support they actually need. That’s not just inconvenient, it can delay real care at a time when it matters most to the individual.

To our local practitioners, people’s wellbeing sits in your hands.

Knowing your referral pathways, understanding scope of practice and directing individuals to the right supports is absolutely critical.

We’ll always point people in the right direction where we can, but this starts at the source.

Let’s be better for our community. They deserve that.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Proactive Parenting with Lael Stone.

There was a lot in it… and we hope somewhere along the way, something landed for you. Something that made you feel seen, reassured, or gave you something simple to take into your parenting.

Lael has such a beautiful way of delivering, real, warm, practical and deeply impactful information. We love her!

The feedback says it all…
90.4% rated the session 5/5,
98.6% found Lael engaging,
and so many shared that they left feeling more confident, connected, and equipped with tools they can actually use.

This is why we do it. And we’ll keep bringing this level of world-class education to our community, just as we have for the past 10 years.

"I found this seminar to be very powerful, the advice to enable connection with my child is something I will be putting into place as soon as I get home. Many tools and advice have been given that will benefit my parenting journey! Thankyou!" - Participant

"Super impressed with the young athletes at Moe Swim Club.

It was clear that belonging, camaraderie and inclusivity aren’t just words here, they’re embedded in the culture. Not just among the swimmers, but across the entire support team.

At the start of the session, I challenged these young athletes: What you put in is what you get out. And put in, they did.

We explored pressure - the weight of expectation when worth gets tied to roles, results and approval.
We unpacked how we speak to ourselves when things don't go our way and how we can reframe this inner dialogue.
We talked about response over reaction.
And lastly, the power of connection in building a thriving team culture.

What stood out most? Not just their understanding - but their willingness to engage, reflect deeply and back each other.

To witness a young group actively choosing an inclusive culture where everyone is welcomed, supported and lifted was genuinely impressive.

The future of this club is in good hands. " - Katrina (Facilitator)

Katrina had the absolute pleasure to work with the brilliant young swimmers at Moe Swim Club last night.

They explored themes around building confidence and resilience, specifically:

- Catching butterflies and managing our nervous energy
- Switching from ‘shark brain’ to ‘dolphin brain’ and catching tricky thoughts
- Developing a reset routine
- Anchoring ourselves when big feelings emerge
- Pod Power and when working as a team, we are stronger than as individuals

The energy in the room and willingness to engage from all involved was wonderful and serves as a reminder to never underestimate the power and ability of young minds!

Well done to Moe Swimming Club for seeing the value in supporting their young champions to be equipped in important topics such as regulation, confidence, resilience and connection.

Thank you to Latrobe Community Gaming Support Fund for the support of rolling out this initiative.
