Before Growing Tots, before the Gastrostomy, I was an NG mumma and it was a very different Easter. (A period of time I’ve mostly blocked out 😅)

I hated this tube, but I’m so glad I took these photos. Tubes save lives, it can take time to truly understand and appreciate that, but once I did, I change my entire mind set.

I love her peg and I love the opportunities it’s given her, and to our entire family. And I’m grateful to have met all of you along this journey.

After becoming a medical mum, my circle changed. Some friends really showed up, others took a step back. It’s tricky to know how to navigate these situations, from both perspectives. But then something happened, my circle grew and filled with other medical mums who just got it. Who helped me better understand it. Who face the same challenges, same triggers, same exhaustion I had felt for years.

Growing Tots isn’t just a brand of adaptive clothing, it’s a community for medical parents/carers, who live the same challenges day-to-day. It’s a growing community I’m so proud to be part of.

And with that life experience, it’s a small, simple solution, designed by one medical mum for her new circle of friends, navigating through their children’s tube feeding journey 🧡

Meet ZAC 🧡 Our competition winner and newest friend to try on our Adaptive Bodysuit!

“Since his recent hip surgery, it’s been really hard to find clothing that doesn’t rub or make him sore... but this has been so soft and gentle on his skin.

The tube access makes life so much easier (no full outfit changes every time (V), and I love that there’s nothing bulky or heavy through the middle, it’s all lightweight and comfortable for him.

It also helps keep his little hands away from his G-tube so he’s not trying to pull at it, which has been such a big relief.

The flap feature has been a game changer for us, not just for feeding but for Zac’s comfort too.

With his medical trauma, having to get undressed at appointments so doctors can access his stomach can be really overwhelming for him. Being able to just open the flap instead has made such a difference... he handles it so much better now.

And honestly, looks like Zac’s giving it a #1 rating himself!

We found a school that understands her!!

As a medical parent navigating early childhood education for a child with special needs, the thought of leaving her was terrifying! But we found that most beautiful school that provides therapy, care, inclusion and most importantly, a safe space where she is valued and understood!!!

For any other parent who may be going through a similar journey, I’m right here with you! 🧡
