I show people how to manage their mental and physical energy to achieve peak performance and maintain a healthy work/life balance. Stress is the most significant psychological hazard in the workplace, affecting people's mental and physical wellbeing. Finding effective strategies to address this challenge is one of the major issues confronting workers and employers. It's one thing to know what we should do, and quite another to be able to do it. Participants learn how to reduce stress & take a more active role in their own healthcare. Using information, discussion, fast & effective de-stress techniques, & cognitive tasks, the Program provides a strong basis for on-going physical & mental health. I work with organisations that need their people to be at the top of their game & give their best. Contact me about seminars & workshops to build resilience, improve performance, reduce stress and support staff health and wellbeing.

Tina Brunet is a real live dynamo with the biggest heart šŸ’œ you’ve ever met.
This Is Me started as a one off event in 2020 but it just keeps growing because it’s powered by Tina’s passion for justice for women (and humanity). And that’s something that has really resonated with people.
So come and experience it on Saturday 2 March.
You’ll love it!

I'm so excited to be part of the backstage team at this wonderful event This Is Me.

It's a celebration of women, and last year was incredible - the women involved found it life-changing, the audience was moved to laughter, tears and cheers, and what's more, the money we raise pays for a Leadership program at a school in Calcutta for kids who come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds.

I'd love you to come along and buy a ticket on Saturday 2 March, 1-5pm to support this year's models and be part of changing the future for the kids at Future Hope School in India.

This time of year can be restful ... or very challenging, depending on what you've got planned, how much you've got planned, and who you're doing it with.
I'm opting for a very quiet Christmas day, solo but with a full Christmas lunch and the table set with my favourite china and my mother's traditional embroidered Norwegian table cloth.
Whatever the season means to you, try and stay mindful of your own needs and where your limits lie, and be kind to yourself in managing your boundaries and respecting other people's.
This is my last post for 2023 - may your New Year be filled with peace and ease and joy.
(Photo of my neighbour's beautiful jacaranda - it makes the perfect Christmas tree for us all to enjoy).

I love the concept of having a To DON'T List!
It comes from academic & writer, Rachel Botsman. She suggest we might be better off finding ways to do less, instead of adding more to an already jam-packed schedule.
So instead of making a list of things to do, she makes a list of the things she's NOT going to do.
This resonated for me, because I'm very careful with how I choose to spend my energy & time, & who with.
The way I decide is this - if the people and/or activities (personal & professional) leave me feeling positive, uplifted, energised or connected (mentally, emotionally or physically) then it's a Yes.
If it drains me, I check in with myself & get clear about my values, boundaries & priorities, & decide based on that.
Never-ending to-do lists create stress and can lead to burnout.
Creating time & space for ourselves is essential for our wellbeing because then we've got more to give & share. In other words, LESS is MORE.
So what's 1 thing you could put on your To-Don't List?

I love this simple strategy from Greg McKeown for streamlining a busy life.

He calls it 'One-Time Decisions' and you can listen to his short podcast about it here: https://gregmckeown.com/podcast/episode/one-time-decisions-10x-series-part-4/

In a nutshell, making one-time decisions helps reduce overwhelm and burnout because you eliminate the agonising self-arguments and constant weighing up of the pros and cons. Once you've made a one-time decision, can tick it off your list for good.

Then each time the option to do or not do something arises, you simply choose to do that thing or be that kind of person or live that sort of life.

I've made lots of one-time decisions that have made life easier.

One is to get up and go to the gym most days. So I do. I don't have to overthink it or convince myself of why I should go. I just go. Pretty often I drive there with a friend - we chat in the car so it's doubly good reason to stick with my decision!

Over time, the repeated choice becomes as automatic as cleaning your teeth.

We tend to overcomplicate things and that's exhausting - give this strategy a try and let me know how you go. Or if you've already made a one-time decision, then I'd love to hear about it!

Many of us have been told that if we are good at making decisions, we're good at everything, but this is wrong. What we know now is that making the right one-time decisions is the real game changer. In part four of this series on 10X leverage, you will learn why and then how to be able to make one-t...

It's all about perspective!
A friend just told me that her daughter has qualified as a pilot.
Even though I've watched her grow up, I couldn't believe how far she'd come - that the little girl who loved planes & decided to be a stewardess, was now flying those planes!
It can be easy to see how someone else has changed & grown in their lives. It's often harder to see the big picture with ourselves.
So it's important to occasionally travel back in time & do a stocktake to get a broader perspective.
You could read at an old journal or your social media posts from a year or 2 ago. Or ask a friend what they've noticed.
But above all, don't beat yourself up if you haven't made as much progress as you'd hoped. Change takes time and patience and gentle encouragement, & sometimes it's a case of 1 step forward, 2 steps back ... but mostly you'll be moving in the right direction, and that needs to be acknowledged!
Lastly, , if you need support or encouragement, then ask (a friend or professional) for it.

What we think and feels (our mental health or mental state) affects us at the cellular level and can change our physical state for better or worse.
Medical research recognises the Mind Body Connection. Bruce Lipton’s research showed how beliefs can turn on or off a gene’s expression. He recommends PSYCH-K as a powerful technique for changing negative or ā€˜unhealthy’ beliefs.
