Natural Balance Chiropractic Holiday Hours:

We’ll be open as usual right up until Christmas Eve 🎄
 
Over the holiday period, our reduced hours will be as follows:
 
25-29 December: closed 
Tuesday 30th December: OPEN 7:15am- 11:15am and 3:00pm- 6:15pm
31/12 to 2/1: closed
Saturday 3rd January: OPEN 8:00am- 12:00pm
 
We will resume regular opening hours from Tuesday 6th January.
 
As this is a particularly busy time of year, we encourage you to book your pre- Christmas adjustment in advance to ensure availability ✨

Hey everyone! ☺️

There’s lots of new faces around here so I thought I’d take a moment to re- introduce myself. My name is Hannah and I’m the director of Natural Balance Chiropractic.

The reason I became a chiropractor is I have always been interested in health, wellness, and how the body works. At school, I loved all subjects about how living things do what they do- anatomy, biology, physiology, psychology and health and human development. I’ve always been health conscious and physically active- having been a state level swimmer and cross country runner. In year 10, I did work experience at a chiropractic practice and fell in love with its power to optimise nervous system function and help people live their best lives. I saw the magic and witnessed the huge impact it had on people’s health. I worked as a chiropractic assistant for 8 years through high school and uni. I feel grateful to be lucky enough to be one of those people who knew strongly what they wanted to do since age 15.

In my personal life, I love long beach walks every day with my cockerspaniel and sidekick Pippa, strength training at the gym, travel and holidays, and spending time with friends and family.

I started this business as I wanted to create a beautiful space for holistic healing and wellness, and here people feel calm and nurtured, and can receive holistic nervous system focused family chiropractic care.

On a standard visit at Natural Balance Chiropractic, Dr Hannah will check your spine and nervous system- through palpitation (springing of the joints to test for restriction or tension), leg length (to assess pelvic and other spinal imbalances) and muscle testing.

She will adjust any misalignments or imbalances in the spine, to improve nervous system function, reduce pain, and improve mobility.

Your adjustment may be coupled with lifestyle advice on things like stress management and ergonomics, and you may be prescribed exercises or supplementation to support your healing. ✨👐🏼

Your second appointment at Natural Balance Chiropractic is called your Report of Findings.

At this appointment, Dr. Hannah will explain to you in detail the findings from the initial consultation, including the results of any clinical imaging.

She will design a specific healthcare plan unique to you and the goals you are aiming to reach. A treatment is included in this appointment, and your journey towards optimal wellbeing begins! ✨

Your first appointment at Natural Balance is all about getting to know you and understanding your health story. This helps us learn how we can best support you in reaching your wellness goals.

Dr. Hannah will chat with you about your health history and carry out a thorough physical assessment to see how your spine and nervous system are functioning. This may include functional checks like posture, range of movement, muscle testing, and looking for any areas of imbalance in the spine.

She may also recommend additional tests such as X-rays to ensure you receive the most complete and personalised care. 🩻🧠

Chiropractic is incredible- it enhances the ability of your body to heal and regulate itself, by ensuring optimal alignment and a spine that moves and functions well. This enhances the ability of the brain to communicate with the rest of the body. ⁣

When the nervous system functions well, people may sleep better, move better, feel more energy, think more clearly, and have improved posture- amongst many other things! ⁣

Do chiropractors treat shoulder pain? Absolutely!

Chiropractors can help with shoulder pain by addressing musculoskeletal imbalances, improving joint mobility, and enhancing overall function .

Some of the ways your chiro will treat your shoulder include:

✨ Spinal Adjustments
- Misalignments in the neck and upper back (cervical and thoracic spine) can contribute to shoulder dysfunction.
- Chiropractors adjust the spine to improve posture and relieve nerve irritation that may be causing referred pain in the shoulder.

✨ Shoulder Joint Adjustments
- If the shoulder joint itself is misaligned, gentle and specific adjustments can help restore its proper movement.

✨ Soft Tissue Therapy (Muscles, Tendons & Ligaments)
