APRIL SAFETY FOCUS: LOOK AFTER YOUR MATES 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Safety isn’t just an individual responsibility — it’s a team sport. The strongest teams are the ones that look out for each other every single day.

This month, we’re focusing on simple but powerful actions:
✔️ Speak up early
✔️ Support each other
✔️ Check on your mates

A quick check-in, a word of encouragement, or raising a concern could make all the difference.

Strong teams work safely — because everyone goes home safe.

Think Safe. Work Safe. Home Safe.

Engineering Precision Beneath the Surface - Delivering critical digital infrastructure starts well below ground.

Tradetech Services Australia (TSA) partnered with Kapitol to design and deliver the “In-ground” civil works for NEXTDC, including the engineering and installation of a 20m x 3m high On-site Stormwater Detention (OSD) tank capable of processing 160 litres per second during peak rain events.

This was not a standard install. The project required a fully tailored design response aligned to client specifications, utility requirements and council approvals, all within a constrained urban environment.

Through our expertise in complex CSR (Combined Services Routing), we integrated design and construction into one coordinated package, directly managing:

- Power
- Hydraulics
- Communications
- Drainage and OSD
- Service clash detection

Our engineers, BIM (Building Information Modelling) designers and delivery teams worked collaboratively with Kapitol to resolve spatial conflicts, sequencing constraints and compliance challenges early, before they impacted the programme.

With years of civil construction experience, TSA understands where risks sit and how to engineer around them. Clear communication, proactive engagement with authority and unified service coordination ensured the project was delivered to specification, without inefficiencies or unnecessary handovers.

The 20-metre tank lift was a milestone moment, but the real achievement was the precision engineering and coordination that made it possible.

Integrated design. Clear communication. Built to perform.

Introducing TSA Rewards:
Supporting Our People Beyond the Workplace

Supporting People and Culture isn’t just about policies and processes; it’s about creating experiences that genuinely make work better.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce TSA Rewards, our new employee benefits program for all full-time employees, powered by ‘Where To Enjoy’.

Our team now has access to exclusive savings across eGift cards, major brands, cinema tickets, dining, travel, and lifestyle offers, helping employees save on the things they need and enjoy most.

At a time when the cost of living continues to impact households, practical benefits like this matter. It’s a simple but meaningful way to give back to the people who contribute so much to our business every day.

Because recognition isn’t just about what happens at work; it’s also about supporting life outside of it.

TSA is proud to invest in initiatives that put our people first.

At Tradetech Services Australia (TSA), strong communication and collaboration are at the heart of how we deliver safe, successful projects.
A recent toolbox meeting at the Reservoir site brought together project managers, pit crews, drivers, and traffic management teams to connect, share updates, and align on what’s ahead.

These sessions are more than just updates, they’re an opportunity to bring our people together, share knowledge, and reinforce the safety culture that underpins everything we do.

A big thank you to Mwaka Hamweene – Health, Safety and Environment Advisor from CitiPower, for joining us and providing valuable insight into upcoming projects and how TSA will support delivery.

Kandyce Garofalo - TSA OHS&E Officer, also highlighted this month’s safety incentives, recognising the importance of maintaining high standards across all crews.

The session was led by Susan Riley – Executive General Manager – Utilities, who reinforced the importance of teamwork, communication, and safety across all operations.

Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to another great session, keeping our teams connected, informed, and working safely.

TSA was proud to attend the annual Data Centre Leaders Summit in Sydney, a key event bringing together the minds shaping Australia’s digital infrastructure future.

From keynote discussions on the “Five Epochs of Civilisation” to insights on the next wave of data centre growth, the event highlighted just how rapidly our industry is evolving, from digital transformation into the era of intelligence.

Key themes included:
• The growing demand for scalable, medium-sized data centre capacity
• The rise of AI-driven operations and predictive maintenance
• Increasing focus on security, sustainability, and resource constraints (including power and water)
• Hybrid power models becoming the new standard
• Australia’s opportunity to position itself as a major data centre hub for South East Asia

The summit also reinforced the importance of collaboration, with leaders across hyperscale, infrastructure, and technology coming together to address challenges and unlock opportunities.

“Great to connect with industry peers and exchange ideas on how AI, sustainability, and evolving capacity demands are reshaping the future of data centres in Australia,” Lucas Shawyer TSA Estimating Manager.

TSA Appointed Installation Partner for EV Charging Stations.

TSA was proud to attend the EV curb side charging launch at Central Gardens, Hawthorn, alongside guests including Cr Sophie Torney, Wes Gault, Mayor of the Boroondara Council, and representatives from CitiPower / Powercor and ChargePost.

A special acknowledgement to Daniel Bye, Head of Customer Connections & Requests at CitiPower / Powercor, who has been instrumental in driving this program forward and helping enable the rollout of curb side EV charging across Victoria.

The program includes 8 EV charging stations across the Boroondara area, with 92 chargers planned across surrounding suburbs, helping expand access to convenient street-level charging for EV owners.

TSA is excited to be the installation partner for these EV charging stations, supporting the delivery of accessible charging infrastructure in local communities. This is a great step forward for EV infrastructure in Victoria,

It was fantastic to see strong collaboration between government, energy providers, and industry to help accelerate the transition to electric transport — along with a great community atmosphere on the day.

⚡ Keep an eye out — these chargers may soon be coming to a street near you.

Safety Starts With People

At Tradetech Services Australia (TSA), safety has always been about more than policies, procedures, or compliance. Safety starts with people.

While strong systems and structured processes are essential, it is the people on the ground who bring safety to life every day. The decisions they make, the conversations they have, and the leadership they show on site are what truly shape safe outcomes.

Our Safety Officers are already an established and valued part of TSA’s operations. Day in and day out, they work alongside our crews across every job site, providing hands-on leadership, practical guidance, and real-time support to help ensure our staff, contractors, and surrounding communities remain safe.

They play a critical role in both planning and ex*****on. From early risk identification and job-specific safety planning through to daily site engagement, they help bridge the gap between safety systems and real-world conditions. Their consistent presence strengthens communication, reinforces safe work practices, and supports teams to work confidently and efficiently.

Most importantly, our Safety Officers lead by example. By building trust, encouraging open conversations, and supporting positive safety behaviours, they help create environments where safety is shared, understood, and owned by everyone.

They are an essential part of TSA’s Safety First culture, not only helping to protect our people, but also ensuring the work we do is delivered safely, responsibly, and to the highest standard.

Because at TSA, safety leadership is not just about systems. It is about experienced people showing up every day, supporting our teams, and leading from the front.

Risk doesn’t wait until you're ready.
And as year-end deadlines pick up, neither should safety awareness.

At Tradetech Services Australia, we’re using November to slow down, check in, and double down on:
• Emergency preparedness
• On-site compliance
• End-of-year pressure points

The safest teams don’t speed up when things get busy — they stay consistent.
