At The Support Squad, support is about more than just getting through the day — it’s about learning, growing, and building confidence in everyday life.

One of the ways we do this is through living and learning life skills, like planning and cooking delicious, healthy meals together.

Cooking is a great way for participants to build independence, develop new skills, and enjoy the reward of sharing something they’ve created. From choosing ingredients to preparing and plating meals, every step is an opportunity to learn.

And the best part? The meals are pretty amazing too!

Here’s a look at some of the delicious creations made with the support of our team. 👩‍🍳✨

🌿 Exploring the Botanical Gardens! 🌿

Our incredible support staff recently spent some time with one of our clients at the Botanical Gardens, enjoying fresh air, beautiful greenery and peaceful surroundings.

These outings aren’t just fun, they also support wellbeing, social connection and mental health, which are all important goals under the NDIS. Being in nature can reduce stress, boost mood and give our clients meaningful experiences to enjoy and remember. 💚

A huge thank you to our staff for making these moments possible!

So many neurodiverse women discover later in life why things have always felt a little different — after years of masking, juggling expectations, and trying to fit in. 💛

This peer group is a warm, supportive space to connect with others who get it — to share stories, have a laugh, and celebrate our unique strengths together. Let’s connect over a coffee and chat! ☕✨

🌍 International Day of Persons with Disabilities – December 3rd 💜

Yesterday we acknowledged a day that means so much to us at The Support Squad.

This day is all about promoting inclusion, recognising the strengths and contributions of people with disabilities and continuing the push toward accessible and supportive communities for everyone.

At The Support Squad, this isn’t something we celebrate once a year. It’s something we live every single day.

We’re proud to support individuals of all abilities and to stand beside families as we work together to create meaningful, empowered lives.
