I am a Registered Physiotherapist and originally Stott Pilates Certified. I combined my two loves of Physio and Pilates back in 2000, during my time working as a physio in the US. I was actually very fortunate to undertake all my Pilates examinations at the head Stott studio in Toronto, Canada . I have always had a passion for how the body functions hence my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy. However growing up with a background in dance and competitive aerobics , it wasn't long before I discovered Pilates and instantly became enamored with this type of exercise. Pilates is such an intelligent way to exercise. The precision and scientific nature of it goes hand in hand with Physiotherapy. I love the way the body functions correctly and feels fantastic with Pilates exercises. I thrive on assessing someones physical condition and alignment, past history of activities and injuries and then combining these findings with someones personal wellness or fitness goals. It is from this assessment that I love creating a plan of action that incorporates both physio skills, rehabilitation and Pilates exercises. The ultimate aim is to help someone feel great and have a fantastic understanding of their body to go with it. I love sharing this knowledge with clients and am thrilled when I see how much people get out of their personal Pilates sessions. DKB Transformations Clinical Pilates provides these personal comprehensive assessments and Pilates Programing for a wide variety of clientele. My Movement Therapy work is for everybody! Everybody that wants to move better , feel better and live well. As the owner of DKB Transformations Clinical Pilates I strongly encourage people to invest in themselves and look after the structure of the body they live in. Having a sound body is the key to continuing the ability to do the things you love in life. Pilates is the insurance we all need to take for our body.
