Three months after co2 laser resurfacing, you can already see changes in her skin. Texture looks smoother, fine lines appear softer, and her overall tone looks more even and refreshed.

What you’re seeing here is only part of the process. Co2 resurfacing works by initiating deep dermal repair, and the collagen remodelling phase continues for many months. This is why improvements often become more noticeable with time, not just immediately after treatment.

Many people notice their brows sitting lower with age, and it’s a natural question to ask whether certain treatments influence that change. In this video, Dr. Gavin Chan explains why treating the forehead with anti-wrinkle injections can sometimes contribute to further brow descent, and why understanding muscle balance is so important.

Rather than treating the forehead in isolation, it can be helpful to consider the muscles that naturally lift or lower the brows. In some cases, adjusting treatment to focus on the downward pulling muscles may support a more open, refreshed appearance without relying heavily on forehead injections.

Effective facial treatment is often less about treating lines and more about understanding how different muscles work together over time.

Four years later and the improvements are still noticeable.

These photos show this patient’s skin long after her treatment. The after image was taken four years after her laser treatment for facial capillaries and freckles, and 18 months after her IPL session. Her skin tone remains more even, with significantly reduced capillaries and a softer appearance of freckles.

When treatments are supported with good skincare and sun protection, the improvements can be maintained for years.

If you’re exploring options for facial capillaries, freckles or uneven tone, our Cosmetic Doctors can help assess what may be suitable for your skin.

Co2 laser results build over many months.

These images show our patient's progress six months after her Co2 laser resurfacing, following on from the one month results we shared in July.

Over time, you can now see a clearer improvement in overall skin texture, softening around the eyes and mouth, and less pigmentation resulting in a more even skin tone. Her skin also appears smoother through the lower face and perioral area.

Co2 laser resurfacing works by creating controlled micro-injuries that start a collagen remodelling process beneath the surface. While initial results and skin tightening can be seen early, the deeper rebuilding phase continues for many months, which is why improvements often become more noticeable with time.

Every treatment plan is personalised to your skin type, goals and downtime preferences, allowing for a thoughtful and measured approach to resurfacing.

What makes Co2 laser different from other skin resurfacing treatments?

Laser skin resurfacing with ablative Co2 and Erbium works on the skin’s deeper layers to renew texture, tone, and firmness.

In these photos, taken two months post treatment, you can see smoother skin around the upper lip and eyes, with a more even tone and refined texture overall. These improvements continue to develop as new collagen forms and the skin remodels over the months ahead.

Compared to non-ablative options, ablative lasers create a more intensive healing response, and while that means longer downtime, it also means a greater level of renewal beneath the surface. It’s an investment in deep skin rejuvenation and remodelling rather than surface change.

Every treatment is tailored to your skin type, goals, and recovery preferences for a balanced and thoughtful approach to resurfacing.

It’s perfectly normal to notice lines forming on your face as time passes. Some appear when you smile or raise your eyebrows, while others seem to linger even when your face is at rest. These lines are a natural part of the ageing process and are often described as dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles.

Understanding the difference between these two types of lines is the first step in learning how your skin changes over time, and how various wrinkle treatment options may help address your specific concerns.

Co2 laser resurfacing has long been one of the most effective ways to renew skin quality, but innovation doesn’t stop there.

By combining Co2 with Rejuran, we’re able to support the skin through its natural repair process. Rejuran’s biologically active polynucleotides work within the skin to enhance regeneration, calm inflammation, and encourage organised collagen remodelling.

When used around delicate areas such as under the eyes, this approach helps create a supportive environment for recovery while maintaining the rejuvenating power of Co2 laser.

Progress isn't about stronger technology. It's about smarter healing

Six weeks after fractional Co2 laser resurfacing, this patient’s skin shows visible improvement in tone, texture, laxity and wrinkles. Fine lines appear softened, overall brightness has improved, and the skin surface looks smoother and less crepey. Around the mouth and eyes, you can see the skin appears tighter, and healthier looking skin is now emerging.

Co2 laser resurfacing works by heating and removing a layer of skin. The heat energy causes tightening of the skin reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and the removal of the top layer of skin reduces surface issues such as fine lines and pigmentation. The healing process stimulates new collagen production, gradually enhancing skin firmness and softening the appearnace of wrinkles

As the skin continues to heal and remodel over the following months, gradual improvement in firmness and clarity becomes more noticeable.

This treatment is not for the faint hearted, with significant downtime and regular follow up appointments in the days following the procedure. The last slide reveals what you can expect in the days following Co2 skin resurfacing.

Every patient's requirements are unique, and our tailored treatment approach considers your skin type, goals, and tolerance for downtime to ensure a personalised and effective plan.

Three months after Co2 laser skin resurfacing, this patient’s skin shows a smoother texture, overall skin tightening, reduction in pigmentation, softening of fine lines around the eyes and mouth, subtle lifting of excess skin on the upper eyelid, and a clearer, more even toned complexion.

Healing will continue to progress in the coming months as the skin remodels collagen and strengthens over time.

These images highlight how advanced resurfacing treatments can address multiple concerns in a single approach, from texture to skin tightening, with gradual improvements that develop as the skin continues to recover.

Healthier looking skin is possible with the right combination of treatments and skincare.

In these before and after photos, you can see visible improvements:

▪️Pigmentation has noticeably reduced, creating a clearer and more even skin tone
▪️Redness has been calmed
▪️Skin texture appears smoother and more refined
▪️Fine lines have softened around the eyes and mouth
▪️Overall complexion is brighter, fresher, and more hydrated

This patient has had a tailored series of skin treatments, supported by skincare including vitamin A and vitamin B (niacinamide), which assist with cell turnover, skin renewal, inhibit pigmentation, reduce redness and strengthen the skin barrier. Together, these approaches can help address uneven tone, texture, and signs of ageing over time.

The difference between these photos, taken 14 months apart, is a reminder of how important consistency is for your skin. When you commit to a routine, both in-clinic and at home with your skincare, you’re allowing the results to build and deepen over time.
