Holistic medicine is the art and science of healing that addresses the whole person – mind, body and spirit. As a practitioner of holistic medicine, I integrate conventional and alternative therapies to prevent and treat dis-ease, and most importantly, to promote optimal health. My favourite healing modality is Forensic Healing which combines logic and intuition to find the cause of a condition and release the negative impact of the past. Forensic Healing involves profiling patterns, collecting evidence about a condition, analysing the evidence and reconstructing the whole story to determine the cause, beliefs, thoughts and behaviours that has damaged the intelligence of the DNA - the blueprint of life in every cell. Identifying the cause of damaged DNA allows specific healing vibrations to be targeted for reconnecting and realigning the DNA.

I have been having dreams and images of symbology all about the heart with wings and how it represented not only our heart but the heart of the heaven and earth.

The dream explained that through dropping into our own heart we are able to connect to the universal and earthly heart connecting us to multiple time lines and multiple outcomes. Only when we drop into our hearts without judgement for self and others and the world around us are we able to move circumstances with empathy and compassion. By dropping into love the ripple effect on that simple yet powerful conscious act grows exponentially helping others do the same.

It has been known that the heart is a gateway for eons. However, the extent to that truth is far more than just a one way street - the old saying as above so below is far greater than we can possibly imagine or even fathom.

The Mythic Symbol: The Heart with Wings

The heart with wings is an ancient symbol found across cultures - Egyptian, Greek, Hermetic, and Christian mystical traditions.
💜In Ancient Egypt, the Winged Heart was linked with Ba, the soul’s aspect that could travel between realms. The heart was weighed against the feather of Ma’at (truth, harmony). A light heart meant purity, truth, and readiness to unite with the divine.

💜In Greek and Hermetic traditions, a winged heart symbolized Eros or Agape - love that transcends earthly limitations and aspires to divine union.

💜In Christian mysticism, it represents the Sacred Heart - love as a living fire that bridges human suffering and divine grace.

So the “heart with wings going inward” can be understood as the return flight – turning the wings inward, descending into the sacred inner temple - where heaven (spirit) and earth (body) are reconciled through the heart’s intelligence.

💫The Heart as the Gateway Between Heaven and Earth💫

The heart is more than emotion; it’s a field of coherence that literally bridges heaven and earth within us.

🍁Physiologically, research from the HeartMath Institute shows that the heart emits an electromagnetic field thousands of times stronger than the brain’s. When we shift to emotions like gratitude, compassion, and love, this field becomes coherent — influencing not only our nervous system but those around us.

🍁Spiritually, many traditions (Sufism, Taoism, Kabbalah, Yoga) teach that the heart is the axis mundi - the world axis - the meeting point of divine and earthly forces within us.

🍁Mythically, this is the “grail” within - the vessel that holds both light and shadow, unifying opposites.

💫Walking Through the Chaos: From Disconnection to
Harmony💫

Chaos, whether personal or collective, is the crucible that purifies the heart. In mythic terms, we “descend” into chaos to find the seed of order and rebirth.

The path is not about escaping chaos, but walking through it consciously. Some ways
we can do this:

a) Witness, don’t react.

The heart thrives in awareness, not reactivity. Breathe through emotion rather than suppress or identify with it.

b) Practice heart-centred breathing.

Place your attention in your heart, breathe as if through it, and invoke a feeling of appreciation or compassion. This simple shift brings your whole system into harmony.

c) Transmute judgment into understanding.

Every time we soften judgment, we expand our field of love, this is how “outer vibrations” begin to shift.

💫Dropping Into the Heart - Unifying Soul, Heaven, and Earth💫

This “dropping in” is both poetic and practical. It’s the art of returning home to your own centre.

Here are a few practices that can help:

1. Heart–Earth Connection
- Stand barefoot on the ground.
- Feel your heartbeat syncing with the pulse of the earth.
- Visualize roots descending from your feet, wings of light
expanding from your heart.
- Inhale light from the cosmos, exhale love into the earth.

This harmonizes the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers.

2. The Heart Flame Meditation

- Imagine a small flame in your heart.
- With each breath, the flame grows brighter, illuminating
your inner world.
- Let it embrace pain, fear, or grief - transmuting them
into warmth and compassion.
- Feel the flame expand beyond your body, filling your
surroundings with peace.

3. Acts of Gentle Service

Every act done with genuine love - a smile, a kind word, a moment of listening -expands your heart’s field. This is where spiritual practice becomes embodied.

💫Living in Fulfilment and Lightness💫

Fulfilment doesn’t come from avoiding chaos but from becoming a vessel of coherence within it. When your inner frequency is peace, your environment begins to entrain to it.

When your heart is light, the “wings” naturally open - and life moves through you with grace.

The essence of this path is simple but profound:

“As we descend into the heart, heaven descends into earth.”

Grounding

Now more than ever it is important to ground yourself and protect your energies. There are a number of ways you can do this regardless of where you are or what season it is.

Grounding is a wellness practice involving direct physical contact with the Earth.

In the wellness sense (also known as earthing), it is believed that absorbing electrons from the Earth's surface may reduce inflammation, stress, and pain. It has been found that those that work closely with the land or are in nature more often have a much lower heart beat and lower blood pressure.

The earth otherwise known as GAIA is thought to be a living energetic being - and therefore when you walk in nature without shoes you are directly connecting to the hum and heart of the earth. It is a realignment that we so often lack.

Grounding as a wellness practice - what it is:

Making direct skin contact with the Earth's surface by going barefoot on grass, sand, soil or water.

The theory:
The Earth has a natural electrical charge. Connecting to it is thought to allow electrons to flow into the body, which may act as antioxidants to neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation. It also vibrates and hums which some have equated to bees buzzing. This can then realign your nervous system.

Potential benefits:
People have reported it can help reduce inflammation, improve sleep, lower stress, and improve circulation.

How to do it:
Walk or stand barefoot on a natural surface like grass or sand.
Sit or lie directly on the ground.
Garden or press your bare hands into the soil.
Wade in a natural body of water.

If you are hampered by the Seasons ie Winter:

Bring in some snow - let it melt naturally and add salt then soak your feet in it (you can heat it up for comfort) imagine you are standing in a body of water - at the beach or a flowing river

Bring in pine cones to hold in your hands whilst sitting in silence with eyes closed, imagine you are in an ancient forest. What do you see, feel and hear or smell?

Bring in leaves put them on newspaper and stand on those with hands loose, eyes closed and imagining you are in a field.

Whilst grounding visualise a world you want - connect with the peace, serenity, ease and grace of nature and imagine a universe where it is so.

Bring in the light, bring in the positivity.
Let positive energy flow through me getting more and more powerful.
Allow more and more vibration to increase to ripple out across the oceans and the lands.
I am grounded at all times
The earth supports and protects me
As I sleep and dream I am given all the information I require to make good decisions.
I am connected to infinite knowledge,
I have purpose
I am important and have life purpose
My intuition grows with each day
My energy easily transform negativity to positivity.
I am protected and surrounded by love and healing energy that grows every single day.

Feeling exhausted? Sleeping lots but waking up tired? Maybe you are having trouble getting to sleep and then feeling drained during the day?

To me it feels like we are constantly being sapped of our energies. The energetic noise is just OTT and unbalanced. It takes a lot of work to continue to stay grounded, and feel balanced.

How many of you are feeling the same?

To protect your energy, use practices like visualization, setting boundaries, and grounding yourself.

One thing you can do immediately, is you can visualize a protective shield of light around yourself, practice mindful breathing to stay calm and grounded, and physically remove yourself from draining situations. Over time, consistent practices like decluttering your space, spending time in nature, and setting firm boundaries will build your energetic resilience.

Immediate actions

Visualize a protective shield: Imagine a bubble or sphere of white light surrounding you to block external negativity.

Ground yourself: Focus on your physical connection to the earth to feel more stable and centred. Take off your shoes and stand on the grass or in the dirt with eyes closed.

Mindful breathing: Take slow, deep breaths to calm your nervous system and regain control of your emotional state. Concentrate by counting your breath slowly inwards and counting your breath slowly out. This tricks your brain into resetting and refocusing.

Limit exposure: Physically step away from draining people or situations to create immediate energetic space. One thing I have found is not to turn the TV on at night. Images of negative news, or violent movies pe*****te your energetic field and cause your nervous system to activate instead of relaxing.

Use physical anchors: Carry a small pouch of salt or a crystal to act as a passive energy protection tool. Whenever you feel the need you can hold them and also talk to them telling them your worries.

Consistent practices

Set clear boundaries: Learn to say "no" and protect your time and emotional energy from being overextended.

Declutter your space: A clean and organized physical environment can help create a sanctuary and reduce mental clutter.

Spend time in nature: Immerse yourself in natural environments to help cleanse and replenish your energy. It is interesting because when asked people will tell you exactly where they feel most called to go. For instance I love the beach - the water (full of salt) helps calm the nerves, rejuvenates the senses and also draws out impurities out of your physical body. I'd love to know where you feel drawn to?

Be mindful of your energy: Pay attention to what drains you and what uplifts you, and make choices to minimize drains and maximize positive energy eg news - drains, movies - can be either, music - can be either. Just start to tune in to what you feel and when. Keep a journal or make a mental note - soon you will get more of those aha moments.
