To say we are so damn proud is an understatement!!! Our additional needs karate kids exceeded all expectations. There is no group photo because our kids all graded within the regular Shindo program. We attended three gradings throughout the day. Yes we were there for support, but they literally smashed it and impressed a few people along the way as well! Our program gets results!! This is true inclusion. Can you spot our kids in the group photos 🙏🙏🙏

Raising Awareness for Men’s Su***de in Eynesbury today. We walked from Eynesbury Primary School to the Homestead where we shared some drinks and hopefully shared our experiences with this tragic reality. Thx to Ben from ‘Get Fenced’ in Eynesbury as well as Brad from ‘Werribee Mitsubishi’ for organising and sponsoring. Thx to our Eynesbury Fire Brigade for the es**rt also!!

Our new Cook, Create & Connect group is aimed at our teens and they are cooking up a storm. They are learning to cook quick meals, vary the ingredients, explore different flavours, be creative as well as cook with others - real functional skills!! If you have a teen that you think may benefit, talk to your therapist or to Admin. Adrian, our Counsellor and Rachel, our OT will definitely make your teen feel welcome.

Middle/Upper Primary Group lead by our one and only Mandy (Senior Psychologist) and supported by support worker Noel!!! They loved the obstacle course and being outdoors making use of our amazing property!!! Great going kiddos!!!!

Welcome to the team Rachel. Rachel is our new experienced Occupational Therapist and she is already making a huge difference with the children in our service!! She’s cooking up a storm, having fun and teaching us Psychologists a thing or two as well. Rachel is able to complete Functional Capacity Assessments, Dysgraphia Assessments, Sensory Profiles and more. She has immediate availability. Discovering Strength Team 2026!!! Amaar and Emma you guys may not be in this picture but you are definitely part of the Support Worker team. Pictured here - Senior Psychologists (Rabia, Skye, Mandy and myself), Provisional Psychologists (Tamanna and Tonaya), Adrian (Counsellor), Rachel (Occupational Therapist - yes we are so lucky to find her - if you know someone who may be in need shout out), Support Workers (Rachel, Amita (also our Photographer and part of the admin team), Noel, Jason and Khushi (part of the admin team also), lead by Sam (our Practice Manager who is also training to be a Counsellor and who also does some support work!!!). The office has been busy celebrating the festive season. Check out some of the projects from our teen group and our lower primary group. We are also preparing for our closure period. We will be closed as of Monday 22nd December and will reopen Monday 19th January. Support workers will still be out and about supporting families and I will be available to support them and anyone who feels they urgently need to speak to someone from our service. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Discovering Strength community for trusting in our services and thank my team the work you do to help our clients achieve their goals! Merry Christmas to you all and we look forward to providing a service again in 2026 🎄🎄🎄
