Early extension is often a symptom — not the real problem.
If you struggle to clear your lead hip or feel like you get “stuck” through impact, your body might not be sequencing force from the ground up properly.
This cable chop down drill helps you:
• Push into your lead leg
• Create lead hip clearance
• Transfer force from the ground → hips → club
It’s a simple way to train the downward force and rotation that good ball strikers create naturally.
Try 3 sets of 8–10 each side, focusing on driving through the lead leg and letting the hips open.
