As the year comes to a close, we want to acknowledge that this season can bring mixed emotions for many in our IVF community.

To those who have not had the outcome you hoped for this year, please know you are very much in our thoughts. And to those who are pregnant or welcoming a new baby, we share in your excitement as you head into the festive season.

Clinic closure:
Our clinic will be closed from Saturday 20 December and will reopen on Wednesday 7 January.

During this time, a nurse will be available on reduced weekday hours (excluding public holidays) to assist with urgent queries.

During an egg collection cycle, a crib is used to keep the eggs at body temperature after they are removed from the ovaries. Embryologists examine the follicular fluid under a microscope within the crib, count how many eggs have been collected, and then take them to the lab for freezing or fertilisation.
