A group of 74 Canadian Arduous Firefighters and Incident Management Teams from Alberta Wildfire and British Columbia Wildfire Service spent time in Victoria recently, helping to fight bushfires burning across the state.

Some of the crew opted to visit Metung Hot Springs for a well-earned day of rest and relaxation recently.

The crew, which was due to spend a month in Australia, forms part of an ongoing relationship Victoria has with Canada in times of emergency.

Metung Hot Springs staff welcomed group members throughout the day and thanked them for their service.
