Deep Water Running With Lyn and Moni Build muscle, work cardio fitness & improve mobility at any age with Deep Water Running! Water based workouts instructed Monique and Lyn Quirk.

Stay fit and healthy with flotation belts & guided workouts by Quirks Quatics. Deep-water running involves wearing a bouyancy belt in a 2 metre deep pool. The movements involve running/jogging, cycling, and numerous kick variations. The exercise uses every major muscle group in the body, and is accordingly a major kilojoule burner. Depending on your effort and intensity, you can blaze your way through 2500kJ in a solid, hour-long session. Deep Water Running is low impact, being in the water, and is therefore an ideal method of exercise for individuals needing injury rehabilitation, or those with health problems who may wish to keep their exertion during exercise to a minimum. Deep Water Running classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.15am - 11am and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9.15am -10am. We also have Aqua Aerobics classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.15am -10am. There are a range of group fitness passes available for purchase through the Aquatic Centre including a casual pass for $17.50, Adult 10 Pass for $135.00 or Concession 10 pass for $120. An adult 25 Pass is $270 or a Concession 25 pass is $257.50. This last option brings the cost per class down to $10.30. Please contact us if you have any questions.

πŸ“£ 2026 Timetable update

From today, all Deep Water Running classes at Miami Aquatic Centre will be starting 15 minutes later.

Classes will now begin at :30 past the hour instead of :15.

This small change will give everyone a little more time to arrive, get organised, and be ready to jump in.

We’ve recorded our very first home deep water running workout!

This is a voice-guided session that can be done from your own pool or whilst travelling.
Play your own music quietly in the background while listening to coaching from Monique.

This is perfect for:
β€’ When you’re travelling away from the Gold Coast
β€’ If you miss a class
β€’ If can't make the class times in the morning

Remember to take everything at your own pace and only perform the movements you feel comfortable doing.

This is just a test to see if this would work, for those that asked.

These belts are the most comfortable and supportive option out there. The clever side-mounted flotation foam keeps you upright with ease, while the front AND back buckles give you perfect, adjustable support for every body shape.
