Only 7kg down can look drastic. And it can look drastic if you’re looking at a correct strategy revolving training, nutrition, internal health and lifestyle factors.
It’s not one of these that takes success especially long term, it’s all of them.

Along the way, as most do we hit a road bump. That being progress stalled.
Most of you would be thinking hes not sticking to the plan needs to work harder.
Heck you’re taught in ‘PT school’ to drop calories, increase steps and cardio.
I might be a bit odd in that i actually believe you when you say your doing whats asked. And he was.
However the change was his wife started doing his cooking at night rather than himself. Same foods but different results.

This turned out to be the problem. She simply cooked with too much oils.
Weight loss resumed when he again started cooking for himself. Not ideal but the solution nonetheless.

Im not sure how much value you place on coaching but it’s always one unidentified activity, behaviour or lifestyle factor that generally needs to change.

How much do you think it’s worth to have someone able to identify behaviour changes like this and present solutions.
Coaching solved problems you can’t see.

Hyper palatable and processed foods are built for you to have an emotional attachment to them.
Just take a birthday cake for example and think about the feelings associated with literally just a cake. I’m sure you don’t have those same feelings for a tomato.

Sometimes these foods can mask themselves as temporary joy or pain relief, especially mentally and it’s hard to break that cycle. It can be an addiction cycle.

If you struggle with that heres some things that might help.
First you need to try and understand what you are feeling when you get these cravings. Simply identify feelings without judgement
Second is implement some sort of physiological change that’s going to lessen these cravings. For example, craving sugars can sometimes mean you need more electrolytes, more electrolytes less cravings.
The last thing and the hardest is trying to break the habit. This is where you need to constantly make a conscious choice to be better and it’s very hard to do it alone.

This this is why trying to get in better shape is so hard it’s an emotional journey and it’s one that most people fail on their own

I’d love to start a conversation with someone about this topic. Message me. I’d be happy to chat.

I got a great piece of advice to adjust your new years resolutions to ideally a single word or mantra then base all your choices around that.

If you undertake a body composition goal in a manner that you don’t enjoy there will be a time you stop.
If you end up stopping the habits and structure you used to be successful, it’s a matter of time before you revert back to where you began.
We can see this issue with contestants of the biggest loser. They all but their weight back on.

I believe in a mental switch. The end goal isn’t, 10kg or a 100kg squat, it’s a milestone.
Health and fitness is a lifelong requirement. Make it enjoyable so its easy to keep coming back.

Let’s axe another misconception that the requirement is a daily gym routine.
Its not.
Consider, to maintain your muscle strength within the gym, it requires 1 hard set per muscle group per fortnight. THATS IT.
The bar is so low that 1x weekly you’ll improve (with some educated programming and know how).

It’s this that i primarily teach. Its why those i work with get results and keep them for life.

I still get hyped about really amazing results. It’s 11.2kg scale weight. But looks way more than that cause has got strong AF along the way.
Highlight of 100kg for 2 reps, id name more but she puts most guys in the gym to shame.
She current is eating 3100 calories on training days and 2300 non training days. Has got leaner as we’ve built food up.

Seriously so well deserved even considering your banter level is so high i’m need extra therapy sessions!

The biggest loser is an amazing case study for large and fast weight loss. The problem is almost every contestant put all the weight back on.

Let’s not disregard this completely, it worked after all and very fast. But they missed something.

You become a product of your environment. To take someone out of their environment into one designed for drastic weight loss there is only 1 result.

However, taken out of that environment and these people failed drastically.
Why?
They didn’t have the coping mechanisms in place to deal with the real world. Stress, work, emotions ect.

Success in this space is about the choices you make on bad days. If your lifes easy, cooking, training ect just works.
But can you do it when your home, work and social life a crumbling around you.
Thats what works.
Thats how you change for life.
