💰 $5 per person
This year looks a little different — we’ve decided to charge a small booking fee to help reduce no-shows and ensure every seat is filled 🎟️

This is a not-for-profit event, run purely to spread festive joy and give back to our community.

Art, music, journaling, or other creative activities aren’t just fun, they’re powerful tools for expression and emotional well being. For many people living with disability, creative outlets provide a safe way to process feelings and share ideas when words are difficult.

👉 At MDS, we encourage and support participants to explore creative outlets that bring them joy and confidence. Whether it’s painting, writing, or trying something new, creative activities can be an important part of personal growth and mental health.

🌸Stevie’s Lake Cullulleraine Getaway🌸

Respite with Stevie at Lake Cullulleraine was an absolute success, she had the best time soaking up the sunshine, relaxing by the water, and enjoying a change of scenery, with our Support Worker Shenae.

Respite isn’t just a break, it’s a chance for participants to build confidence, experience new environments, and enjoy meaningful downtime in a safe, supported way. It also gives families the opportunity to recharge, knowing their loved one is having a great time.

We love seeing our participants thrive during their respite adventures! 💙🌿

🛩Today’s highlight comes from one of our incredible support workers, who took Hamish out to the Sunraysia Glider Club for a surprise adventure.🛩

They spent the morning watching planes take off and land, explored inside a glider, and even snapped a photo next to the aircraft. Hamish was absolutely over the moon, it’s safe to say he loves planes!

🔹Experiences like this aren’t just fun, they build confidence, spark new interests, and help our participants grow through real-world engagement.

We love seeing our team take initiative and create meaningful, exciting opportunities for the people we support. ✈️💙

We often hear about the benefits of keeping busy and active, but rest is just as important for wellbeing.
Taking time to slow down, recharge, and care for your mental health is a vital part of balance. Rest can look different for everyone, maybe reading, listening to music, meditating, or simply having quiet time.

👉 At MDS, we support participants in finding the right balance between activity and rest, helping to build routines that protect energy while still encouraging independence and growth.

Murray Darling Supports is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Casual Support Worker to join our team! 💙

Requirements:
✅ Must have a valid driver’s license 🚗
✅Working with Children's Check and National Police Check or willing to obtain
✅ Must be comfortable participating in swimming activities 🏊‍♂️
✅ Availability before & after school hours and on weekends is essential ⏰
✅Experience in support work preferable.🤝

This role offers room to grow, with the opportunity to obtain more hours as you develop within the team!
